Also, on Marshall's podcast Mark Miles mentioned that since he took over he's always been in contact with an OEM or two but right now they're at a point with one where talks are further along and more pointed and promising than they've been before. Not sure if that will be turned into an article as well but I heard it this morning.

Jay Howard :confused::confused: is confirmed for the Tony Stewart Foundation SPM entry in the Indy 500: http://www.racer.com/indycar/item/138587-indy-500-howard-confirmed-for-tony-stewart-spm

GE will be Dixon's primary sponsor at St. Pete: http://www.racer.com/indycar/item/138588-ge-to-sponsor-dixon-at-indycar-opener-at-st-pete

It's believed a number of potential sponsorship deals have been in the works for Dixon's car, but due to the lengthy process of developing sponsorship programs and seeking corporate approvals to fund the initiatives, the four-time IndyCar champion will start the season with individual event sponsors until a full-season deal is signed.

Thanks to the extended break between the St. Petersburg race on March 12 and the second round at Long Beach on April 9, CGR will have the better part of one month to continue its primary sponsor search for the No. 9 Honda between events.

I would love to go to IndyCar in Phoenix but I hear they aren't changing the package so the race won't be great. Maybe I'll decide to go and support USAC Silver Crown returning.

Barber is great. I have done the last 2 Indycar races there. Have you been FLRFAN?

I went to visit the museum there in December but I haven't actually been to a race there yet. Might try to go next month though. I was really impressed by how nice it looked there and I'm sure it's even better in the spring.

Marco is in trouble now, sponsor wise. This should be a wakeup call for Marco and the rest of Andretti Autosport as hhgregg filed bankrupcy and now outside of UFD and DHL as primary sponsors for Marco and I doubt DHL will be willing to give up that much money to sponsor two cars. Also, I just realized Dr Pepper/Snapple Group left the team. Marco needs to put or shut up this season, he better pay attention to Graham and how he approaches things IMHO.

I think he'll be better working with Herta this year but he needs to put up or shut up for sure. It's hard to believe he's only 30 but he's had so long to put something together.

I'm trying to crunch numbers for the Indy 500 entry list...think they'll get 33 cars? Only 7 weeks away now...time is ticking for last-second unannounced entries...

It had been a while since I had been to the Long Beach Grand Prix and I had forgotten just how much of a production they put on there.. I had an awesome time today. There must have been a lot of people called in sick today because the place was pretty packed from noon on.
