Does good ole ‘higan have a way cool catchy nickname like monster or tricky?

Doan wanna be uncool when talkin’ ‘bout this outta sight (site for our special friends) motorsports entertainment site (cite for our special friends).

Back in the 90s, the husband and I would make this race the middle weekend of his 2 week vacation. Yes, we would drive from
Texas to Michigan for the race. LOL
Always had a great time. After the race would always drive up the center of the state to the UP, and back down through Wisconsin.

I used to run myself up to the top of the UP in my big truck in the summer, beautiful up there. I wouldn't be caught dead up there in the winter..they can have it.

Happy days.

I stopped into MIS on my way home from a trip a couple of months ago and it didn't look like it had changed a bit. I used to attend both MIS races in the 80's and 90's and always thought I would make it back but I sold my travel trailer and moved onto other things. If I remember the racing was pretty good in 2016 after several years of not so good.

I remember the first Michigan race the husband and I attended --- it was hotter than the back door of hell.
I thought we were back in Texas in the middle of August. Humidity was out of sight.

The next few races in June were quite enjoyable. Sure hated to give up my tickets --- husband wanted to see
some other parts of the country while on vacation. :D

Father's Day is screwing up the weekend.

Michigan weather can be very finicky at the time of the 2 races as it can be hotter than blazes but it can get particularly cool too. One year in August it became so cool that peddlers came out of nowhere and were selling outdated sweatshirts and people were snapping them up.

Michigan is my favorite track that I've been to! I went to the August race last year for the first time in 12 years (went in '03 and '04) and it didn't take long to realize how much I like it. The weather didn't let me down either! It was brutally hot! I've been to close to 100 Cup races and 3 out of the Top 5 hottest were at Michigan. The facility is awesome! Just a great place to watch a race. My only complaints are the races can go by really quick and their often pretty drama less. I'm not sure if I'll go back out this year but it is on my radar!

I saw Rusty win at MIS when DW and the Tide car stayed out on old tires and the Barry Dotson called Rusty in for new rubber. I think it was 1989.

I noticed they didn't kickoff last weekend's race until 3:20 or so and it is happening again this weekend. Do you know of the reasons as to why that is?

Not a clue. With no lights sunset gave them about a 5 1/2 window last week and about 6 this week. I guess they figure that's enough time to get in a 400 mile race.

Does anyone know where I CAN STREAM FS2?? I just switched cable package and it doesn't have FS2:mad::mad:
