2017 NASCAR's Banquet and Championions Week

The banquet will air on NBCSN at 9 p.m. ET and re-air at 11 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

There will be a special version of “NASCAR America,” featuring a Red Carpet pre-show from the Wynn at 7 p.m. ET (NBCSN) leading into the banquet coverage.

A little disappointed that there's no legitimate host this year to crack real jokes. Some of these drivers deserve every bit of it.

I'd tune in if they would get Larry the Cable Guy. They might kick him out, but It would be fun while it lasted.

They asked Miss Piggy if she would like to do it this year and she said she couldn't because she has a frog in her throat.

Pretty weak show this year. The lack of tribute for Dale Jr. was both shocking and did not sit well with me. Maybe he wanted it that way though. I expected way more.

About how expected the lamest season ever to finish. No real speech by Earnhardt or kenseth, two doofuses running the show, and a ceo that could barely be bothered to show up. Love Brian Frances “here’s your trophy” then proceeds to walk off the stage with barely a hand shake.

LOL wtf was his deal last night. Good lord.
I can’t stop watching it’s so funny lmao even MTJ was like WTF. it’s okay more adversity to overcome for next year, not receiving a handshake from the “head boss” of NASCAR.

"Martin Truex Jr takes the white flag, so much adversity he has faced from his girlfriend's cancer battle, to losing his ride, to his owner having a heart attack, to not receiving a handshake from Brian France, how has he done it!"

I forgot it was on.

And what's with moving it to Thursday? Who thought it was a good idea to put this on opposite the most popular team in the NFL playing one of their biggest rivals?

California has the largest number of Nascar fans and prefer to have awards programs shown on days that begin with "T" according to Brent Dewar.

I didn't realize they still had this sort of shindig until I visited this thread but in addition to having zero interest in it I was alternating between the Deadskins-Cowpokes game and the Maple Leaf-Oilers tilt.

I watched bits and pieces of it -- mainly interested in hearing Dale Jr.'s intro of Martin and Martin's speech.
I kept up with Jeff Gluck's tweets, so I didn't watch until I knew it was time.

I watched the pre show and the banquet. Good folks, didn't realize Delana was so close to having a baby or Matt's wife is any day. I thought the show this year was much faster paced and didn't drag on like the others in the past seemed to. No long band songs or comedic monologues. All of the 16 had a bit of time on the stage. I really like Truex's personality, he gets his digs in. I can see why he and Jr are close friends, both of them are down to earth.
