2017 NASCAR's Banquet and Championions Week

That whole tradition of a sport's figurehead congratulating a new champion is not going away at all. It's just sliding to different places and being done in different ways. Things are happening and sliding and moving around. There will be rings and handshakes, which are critically important, but there is also just leaving the stupid thing in the Cracker Jack box it came from and getting the hell outta there, and we are well positioned there. It will all work itself out.

On one hand I would love to see Brian slide to another platform but on the other hand he is like watching a train wreck that you can't keep your eyes off. IDK what all ails him but he is definitely a few sandwiches short of a picnic.
 
If last nights pathetic display isn’t enough for the France family to buy that brat out of whatever shares he owns in the company, and replace him with a more charismatic figurehead, who will at least show a little bit enthusiasm. There is no hope this sport will ever turn around. He is nothing but a disgusting piece of ****.

I wonder how long it will be before the Commissioner of the RTA is on the stage doing that?

This is so bad; at least Martin took it really well.

No wonder Brian spends most of the year in hiding though. Not a good look for the head of the sport at all. You'd think the scotch could wait a few moments at least in this environment.

Is it time to run Brian off to pasture and bring in young Ben Kennedy to try to rescue the family business? I'm only HALF kidding about this. Ben COULDN'T be any more useless than his uncle. :)

Brian only owns public traded shares that anyone can buy. Daddy's will probably said they must keep him as an employee.

Brian isn't just socially retarded........ he has no clue and never has...... about how to run a business..... I am still in amazement that his dad appointed him to run the business that his grandfather and son built into a dynasty... Bill Jr. must have had dementia when he appointed his idiot son to oversee the operation..... At least Tommy Boy pulled the company out of receivership...... Brian took a very profitable business and has effectably driven it into the ground all the while saying that ''Everythings great''...... while pulling out hundreds of thousands of seats...... I am so proud of Truex....... he done a remarkable job this year..... and won the Cup in spite of Brian's stupid-assed playoff crap....... Martin was most consistent and pulled it off..........


Congratulations to the 78 team....... You proved to be the best......
