That's close to where my wife grew up in Pampa and the main reason she left. The wind chill is 6 degrees there now and the forecast in the morning is -1. She can't stand the cold.

Yesterday one weather guesser said we'd be getting 3-5 inches of snow, another channel's guesser said 5-7. We got 4 inches. Tonight into tomorrow one says 5-7 inches, the other 7-10. I'm thinking 7 is the magic number.

We got 10-12 inches overnight and it's still snowing but very lightly. The temperature is hovering right at 32° so it's heavy and wet. What I call it heart attack snow.
Temps are not expected to go above freezing until Saturday. Going to be a frozen mess.

Another day and another day of more snow.Looks like it's gonna clear out for my B-day.I couldn't ask for a more enjoyable way to spend my B-day than skiing fresh powder day on a bluebird day at Kirkwood. By the way, years ago my buddy who was driving too fast lost it and we ran into that Kirkwood sign and got stuck.:lol2: Thanks some kind people were cool enough to pull us out and we ended up having an epic day.

I love the pictures, just very glad I'm not out in that white stuff. Don't think this old lady could
handle the cold.
We've had mid 20s for the past 3 nights --- too cold around here for March. It's also done a job
on my bluebonnets. Since they are weeds, I'm hoping they'll bounce back.

The weather guesser's here are going nuts. 34 degrees yesterday morning, 31 this morning. The birds are still nesting, the boy squirrels are still chasing the girl squirrels, the frost didn't kill the flowers and the heaters are still working so all is good.

My dad is 72 years old and I think he has 20 days on the mountain so far this year. The gear you can buy these days will pretty much keep you comfortable no matter how cold or windy it might be. I was 5 when my pops introduced me to this sport and I've been addicted to it ever since. Looking forward to making some turns with him on Friday.

-7 going to work today. Below zero is pretty rare at this time of year.

Yikes! I haven't been in minus degree weather since my last road trip to Montana with a friend who was doing a story about Lost Trail Ski Resort for Powder Magazine. At one point it got down to -36. What really blew my mind was all the cattle we saw along the way that somehow managed not to freeze to death in those conditions.

Mother Nature is off her meds --- talk about being bipolar!
Yesterday morning at 7 AM ---- 25*
Today at 7 AM ---- 52*

Checked the bluebonnets while taking the trash cart out for pickup --- the 3 nights of low 20s really zapped the blooms. Hope
the plants will be OK. It was shaping up to be a huge bloom this year.

This is what happens when you get over 600 inches of snow and still counting in the winter. As usual, thanks to the ski patrol who keep us safe and all their hard work. Squaw/Alpine announced that they plan on staying open till July 7. Turns in the morning and golf in the afternoon.:D

Old man winter isn't giving up to spring yet here in N Cali and the Sierras Tomorrow is gonna be fun.:D
