2018 might be Jeff Gordon's last year in booth

This is my thoughts exactly. As a Harvick fan I am a little nervous. I know he just signed a contract extension, but I could see him going 1 more year and hanging it up. Especially since Keelan is getting to the age to start racing karts, and baby number 2 on the way. Also I could see Fox Sports give Harvick a deal much like NBC gave Jr. One that transcends sports, not just NASCAR. Fox is a big player in UFC, and so is Harvick. I am sure they wouldn't mind him having his thoughts on the sport, as well as NASCAR.

Man, I'd hate to see Harvick retire but it'll happen soon. He'll relish in the broadcast both and I think we all know that's his next destination. He's been great on the XFINITY Series broadcasts he's done.

He is really good in the tv roles he does, I really hope he does move over to the TV side when he hangs up his helmet.

Harvick to FOX at some point is almost given. Earlier in the summer there were reports saying it'd be to replace DW so we could have two vacancies there soon.

I heard earlier this year that 2018 would be Waltrip's last year, but I don't know.

Not to mention Mike Joy is starting to get up there in age....

I don’t get the speculation that could be taken from that though, at 46 he’s too old to drive an F1 car, so that only leaves him starting a team. Don’t get why he would do that either, I think him and Lewis are mutual fans of each other and he just wanted to see him clinch the World Driving Championship

OR maybe Jeff was talking to Lewis about driving in Nascar.
Ahhhh didn’t think about that, I always read that after Lewis said he was done with F1he wouldn’t race anything else. Interesting, and Lewis was at Pocono a few weeks ago for an Axalta event allegedly but hadn’t found confirmation on it. Who knows right?

It really is ageism discrimination pressing DW to retire
I think it'd be ageism if he was still good at his job or still had "it" so to say, hes become a cartoon character now, if you go back and watch the early days on Fox and hell even the guest analysis he did for Daytona Busch Clashes ive seen on Youtube its like a different guy compared to now.

another guy who never made it to the most popular driver award but I liked both of them. I like Stewart like you would like a rattlesnake..from a distance

I miss Tony in Cup, although I will say I became more of a fan of his after he left Preacher Joe’s stable of drivers.

I like Darrell, I enjoy listening to Darrell tell stories, I have even enjoyed some of the interviews he has done. That being said, I have NEVER been much of a fan of him as a race announcer. I've said from the very start that Fox must be paying him by the word, because it seems he cannot resist the urge to say something, even when he has nothing to say. Also, I will NEVER forgive him for Boogity Boogity. As far as I'm concerned, that set NASCAR back thirty years. If I were Brian France, I would have put a stop to that idiocy after the first time he said it.
