Some of these guys the first laps they're turning in qualifying are the first laps they have been in a truck. 9 drivers are at Martinsville for the first time.
I love Johnny but at the same token Kyle isn’t wrong lol. But Kyle/TRD are the ones fielding this mediocre drivers lineup so they have no right to complain. If you don’t like Sauter kicking your ass, put a guy with actual talent such as JHN, Kyle Benjamin, or Moffit in the truck, hell even Sauter himself
I don't think Kyle has much choice in who is picked with driver selections. Toyota's business. Toyota's subcontractors for sponsors. Like ol Joe they say jump, he says frog.
4 time race winner Brett Moffitt driving a Toyota motored truck that is supposed to be 40 HP slower then the spec motor everybody else is running is the fastest in the second practice
Never mind, first time for everything

Top 7 trucks are all above the previous track record . Gilliland in 12th smacked turn 2 in the last round, to the back. Turn 2 is taking a lot of the cars/trucks out so far.
Race tonight @ 8:30 EST on FS-1
They kinda threw him to the Lions and he was ready for it, doing a good job so far, going Rookie next year Sheldon Creed Set to Race Full-Time in the Truck Series with GMS Racing in 2019
Statesville N.C. (November 9, 2018) — While at ISM Raceway (formerly Phoenix Raceway), Sheldon Creed announced that he will join GMS Racing, full-time next season. Creed will continue his climb through the NASCAR ranks, competing for Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors during the 2019 NASCAR Gander Outdoor Truck Series (NGOTS) season.
Creed already has two truck series starts this year under the GMS Racing banner, making his series debuts at both Martinsville Speedway and Texas Motor Speedway. The El Cajon, Calif. native is scheduled to race in two more events this season, including this weekend’s race at ISM Raceway, and in the season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway, both tracks that he has never raced at before.
That's so much B.S. Moffitt won the last race with one and all of his 5 wins but one was won with a motor that was supposed to have at least 40 HP less than a spec NT-1 engine. he probably doesn't want a hard look teardown.
