Accuweather says rain for the next 127 minutes (127 minutes?). It'll take a good hour and a half to get the track ready to race, Then another batch of rain is heading in from the west. If they start the race it'll only be to half way before it's too dark to race. Sun sets around 8.

They ran just before Thanksgiving IIRC. Instead of track dryers the joke was they needed snowplows.

Lots of ski resorts up here spin their chairlifts in the fall for leaf peeping...that's something cool to do if you like the leaves. They start to turn in September but don't peak til Columbus weekend. Google "new england scenic chairlift rides" and you'll get all the details.
Also...in my neck of the woods... Route 7 through the Litchfield hills of Connecticut is considered one of the most scenic drives in the country during the fall.

Which is amazing when you think about it. The 1998 Pepsi 400 was the last race to be postponed due to a natural weather event. NASCAR has relatively good luck with weather.
