2018 New Hampshire -- FOXWOODS RESORT CASINO 301- Pre-Race Thread

Boring, one groove track, it's in my backyard and you couldn't pay me to go watch a Cup race there. Modifieds...hell yes!
Totally agree...my company is just down the road and books a bunch of tickets, we have trouble giving them away. I am in the Midwest and the company will pay for everything (I am high enough up the food chain I guess) since our US headquarters are there, still have only gone twice.

Do not understand how a track so similar to the Milwaukee Mile can be so drastically different when it comes to racing. Everything is pretty much the same as far as length, banking, and so on...Milwaukee does have wider corners...but a trickier pit entrance...still the Busch cars used to go side by side...sometimes three abreast.

I like New Hampshire. In a time where the schedule is ridiculed for being too homogeneous, I don't think NHMS should be dumped on as much as it is for what it is.
I’ve always liked NHMS, but it’s up to the drivers to put on the show here. If the cars weren’t so fragile when it comes to handling, they’d actually be able to use the bumper and lean on each other like flat tracking is supposed to be. The COT always put on a great show here IMO. Guys just pussyfoot around too much.

With the track losing a date, I'm interested to see what the crowd will be like.

Based on the current weather forecast... 21 people on Sunday, then everybody has to work Monday accept Billy Joe, Billy Bob, and Billy Joe Martin so that's gonna be a solid 3 people.

First practice at N.H. the 18 car is the one to chase.

You're probably right.

JGR is looking stout this weekend. I think Denny will win this thing, it might not be until after the first stage where he shows his hand. I think if Hamlin minds his speed on pit road, he's due for a win or two this year.

Way badass. Gave up the pole, but I don't get much happier on a Friday night. It sure is interesting how they are all so fast, but if you listen to the experts around here, they are a bunch of egomaniacs who never share information. IMO, the 11 is the key in terms of set up and feel. If he is fast, the car is good. When the car is good, everybody is in the game.

Remember though some of the 4% were undercover NASCAR workers buying tickets

I attended this race last year and was very disappointed. It reminded me of SCCA racing as the drivers simply gave up spots on the track when being passed. Seemed like most of the fans could care less about the racing, being late arrivals and early departures. Also, not exactly the most exciting venue for the midway and pre race activities.

No lights at the track and sunset is around 8pm. Monday afternoon there's a shot of getting a race in.

Mods and K&N.. Will the races be televised? HELL NO.
