2021 DryDene 400 Pre-Race Thread

At Darlington, the Spire cars were 3 and 5 laps down respectively.

Berry will be able to say he ran a Cup race. Good luck to the young man.

It didn't hurt. I wonder if Dale Jr had something to do with it?
 
Should we put a over and under about what lap the Spire car will eat the wall? Lap 200 over or under? I'll go under 200
 
So far this season, neither the 1st nor the 2nd place starter has yet won a single Cup race. Truex and Hamlin will look to change that this weekend, and both of them (especially Truex) have strong records at Dover. But can either of them win? Truex has 3 consecutive 2nd-place finishes at Dover, while Hamlin won there last year but has been less consistent over the last several years.

This crap has more than gotten old. I don’t believe in karma, but if it were real this has to be for all my JGR to the rear jokes last couple years...

I mean, you got a championship to fall back, so in the grand scheme of things, these starting from rear/pit crew blunders aren't too much of a detriment. I feel like right now we are creeping into the dog days of the season. Deep enough in to know where you are at, but far enough away from crunch time that teams may not execute perfectly.

9 team is in major trouble imho. 5 and 24 are fast and not failing tech.
 
Maybe the “penalty“ for multiple pre-race inspection failures isn’t severe enough.

I wonder if escorting the crew chief, the car chief and the lead engineer off the property prior to the green flag would get people’s attention?

I said several weeks ago that I'd stop changing my fantasy teams over inspection penalties.
