Is Bottas correct that the two stopper destroyed his chance to finish second? If so, that was an unforced error by Mercedes, as Hamilton could be gaining even more points today.
 
Is it me or does F1 has it out for Hamilton? He got penalized again. This time, a monetary fine for undoing his seatbealts.

Call me crazy but didn't Leclerc drive with his seatbelts undone for like 5 laps?

Yeah Leclerc actually did it during a race. And Russell loosened his last week to check for damage I think. Not a big fine but inconsistent with what they’ve done in the past.

I figured they'd penalize him for stopping on the track. Seems that had been done in the past. Just too many stupid little petty rules F1 has. Sometimes it can be comical but still annoys me.
 
How far do you get to run another driver off the road without being penalized?

I think they should at least pretend to look at it but not penalize him at this stage. It’s time to move on.

I think the fact they didn’t even “investigate” it when it happened has now become the bigger issue for people.
 
He turned the wheel to the left more than I would've thought. Yes, it's time to move on.
 
That's his apex in turn 4. Seems like at minimum that's leaving the track for a lasting advantage. I mean, for crying out loud that turn was a point of emphasis during practice and qualifying... He knew he was going to get passed there, that's why dive bombed the damn corner. He doesn't miss that corner by 2 car widths on moderately used tires unless he was doing it on purpose.

All of this is why I don't care for F1, they take fun out of racing.

If they don't penalize this now, how can they penalize it in the future?
 
Here is the FIA's big chance to crack down on the dirty driving. The way the drivers chop, block, swerve and run each other off the track, they are going to kill someone. You can't brag about safety while the drivers race so irresponsibly.

How far off the track are you allowed to push someone?
