I think they came 2-3 laps earlier than ideal. The booth suggested that's because they were worried about Mercedes flipping the script and undercutting them. I could see that being the case.

Did I say undertake earlier? I did, haha.

I don't see how Hamilton makes up 8 seconds and the dirty air once he gets close.

The turbulent air is a huge factor for Hamilton once he's within 2 seconds. He has to fight mightily to get within 1 second so that he can turn on an enormous aero advantage to make the pass.

Well I certainly didn't expect that strategy to work out for RBR.
Max holds the record for the most wins by a driver who is not a world champion. I hope Sir Stirling Moss will re-take this record at the end of the year.

I think Red Bull called the smarter race, and Max managed to hold on. Very intense battle to the finish. Hope the talk about reduced dirty air effects with the next generation of cars isn't vaporware, because it's still everything.

Fantastic weekend at the track. The race wasn’t the greatest but to witness a F1 race in person finally ticked another box off the list. The atmosphere was incredible but getting out of the track was the worst I’ve ever seen and same for my dad who has been going to races since 1996.
