Time for round two of the West Coast swing as the tour heads to Las Vegas. It’s also a triple header weekend with the Trucks returning after a week off.

NY Racing entry will be sponsored by FAMU and Biffle will be back behind the wheel.

Seems like an odd venue for a Florida HBCU to be the sponsor., but I had only one semester of marketing. If it brings Biff back, I don't care if it's Q36 Explosive Space Modulators.

They had Grambling on the car for Daytona, which is in Louisiana. They must have some sort of partnership with HBCUs

I'm worried about the bumps in the corners, with the lack of side force these cars are going to be tough to hold on to

Blaney's ride is looking good

Isn't he always? And honestly even with Harvick, KB Truex etc, it's been quite a while since someone was really THE clear favorite almost EVERY week to the point Larson is. We are watching history just like in the 00's, though this time I'm actually kind of a fan compared to how much I hated Johnson winning in his prime.
Even then though, I will admit out of respect I actually pulled for JJ to get "just one more" win in his final year, similar to Gordon's last few years after heating him as a Dale Sr fan as a kid.

NHRA never did a hauler parade, but back in the late 90's and early 2000's most of us hauler drivers would arrive in Vegas about 3 to 4 days before we could park at the track. We would park in an empty lot that was between the New York New York and the Monte Carlo Casinos. Since we would travel in groups of 5 to 10 haulers it would look like a parade when we exited off of the 15 on to Tropicana and then making a left onto Las Vegas Blvd before making a left onto Monte Carlo St. People would stop walking and start waving and giving a thumbs up and taking pictures. They did get pretty excited watching the haulers go by. We probably dropped the ball by not bringing this to NHRA's attention because it may have given them an idea back then to do what NASCAR does now.

NASCAR announced that five Cup teams failed pre-qualifying inspection twice and will have a pit crew member ejected and lose pit stall selection for Sunday’s race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Failing inspection twice were the cars of Kevin Harvick, Chase Elliott, Harrison Burton, Todd Gilliland and Josh Bilicki.

Will we see as many spin outs in practice as last week?

when a crew member is ejected, does that mean the team is short a man or can he be replaced?
