2022 Silly Season

A Chicago based nascar team according to their website. But the only Nascar info on their website refers to xfinity stuff from 2019.

My intial guess is this will be a car prepared by someone else raced under the Stange banner

A quick glance shows they’ve made an appearance at the Indy 500, and they’ve competed in a handful of ARCA races.

Cool for Tarso Marques if it really is to be. Besides F1, he’s competed in Brazil’s version of NASCAR, so I’m interested to see how he does.

Always interesting to me when fresh blood with a pedigree comes into the series lol. Not many have survived for long but maybe with his Nascar experience he can hang in there.

Ford is selling more E Mustangs than conventional ones. I haven't heard of any twisted or broken arms from the buyers that bought them.

Was listening to the owner of Stange racing on Sirius. Sounds like the story was they planned on running a full indy car effort but due to parts shortage they were only going to be able to run a partial schedule. The sponsor was watching the Clash and thought it was cool so he called him up and said he wanted to do nascar. Plan is to run like 8 races this year, 20 races next year and a full season in 24. For now they plan on having a satellite shop in NC to get things going with some form of alliance with RFK, but plans are to move the whole operation to Chicago in the future.

New teams are a good thing but they way he couldn't answer some questions about plans has wondering how much of a competitive effort this will be.

Hey Chas..totally off topic but I thought it was a stunning photo of a bird of prey. Never heard of it. Male Northern Harrier. They call it the Grey Ghost

Looks like it's in Daytona 25 years ago just watching, waiting to fly into Sr's car at the 500.

I've seen a handful of them over the years but the first photo is the best 'Bird in Flight' shot I've been able to manage. The second shot is a grounded female; notice she's brown compared to the male's gray.

Thanks!

Floyd Mayweather Jr. launches The Money Team Racing; Kaz Grala to make Daytona 500 bid - NASCAR MOBILE https://www.nascar.com/news-media/2...ng-floyd-mayweather-jr-daytona-500-kaz-grala/
What’s the over / under on how many races this team enters in 2022? I’ll set the line at 3.5.
Mayweather was the highest paid athlete in the world for a number of years and a scant 450 million is his net worth. It isn't Jordan's around 2 billion mark, but I think he will last over 3.5 races.
Ten races in and The Money Team hasn't been seen since the D500. Did they run their announced second race (COTA)? They're a no-show this weekend at a plate race, traditionally a favorite of part-time teams.

Toast. Admit it, y'all completely forgot they ever existed. I did until I was reviewing the Bold Predictions discussion.
