2025 Qatar Grand Prix

This is way too close for comfort for both the McLaren drivers. They had every opportunity to seal it for the team today.
If Max somehow wins this it would be one of the greatest championship comebacks and THE single biggest implosion in F1 history at the same time.

How about Sainz on the podium again! Incredible pace.
Kimi losing 4th looked weird but he still was way faster than George.

Alonso getting a 7th out of the Aston is a great result as well even though it could've been two more points without the spin. Sure hope Newey builds him a good car next year.

seems like it might take a big mistake from Antonelli for Norris to get by him
Seeing as how McLaren uses a Merc engine, Kimi may have just let him go. A podium might be different, but Kimi could probably car less about another 4th.

Stunning drive from Sainz.

Williams landing on the podium a couple of times has been an awesome sight to see. This season they’ve finally started to realize the fruits of their labor with the new ownership and Vowles in leadership.
Am much bad luck as Carlos has had, this was almost as good as a win. I suspect they will be very, very good next year. Carlos' tub is now two years old, so a new one next year will be a big help.

The idea of Verstappen entering the finaling with a mathematical chance is just incredible. He was 104 points down in September and it was also compounded with a need to overtake both of McClaren's that are arguably superior this year.

In my opinion the best measure of an F1 driver has a lot to do with overcoming the odds or disadvantages. Being able to dominate is obviously impressive as it should be. But there are times in F1 when one team is obviously better and it becomes more about just avoiding any critical mistakes.

I think the GOAT arguments are flawed based on all of the considerations, it would be hard to get a consensus. But I do believe Verstappen has obviously (joined a few elites and) made a good case.

Red Bull, in one way, reminds me of the Toyota WEC team. No matter how bad of a BOP, they get, they fight like lions. They have won a few races they should not have and gotten far better finishes than the car should have been capable of. It's strictly down to execution, and right now no one in F1 does that as well as Red Bull.

I really wanted to see McLaren put Verstappen away, but the comeback has been so spectacular I'll be ok no matter how this turns out.

Maybe it's nostalgia or maybe I'm right but considering 27 wins (back when they only raced 10 or 12 times), 3 championships, surviving the absolutely most deadly time in the sport, plus dragging the sport out of that deadly period, and defeating dyslexia while doing it, I'm going to have to go with Jackie Stewart.

After that, no one had more guts or bravery than Lauda.

He should definitely be in the conversation.

I absolutely agree on Lauda, I can't imagine or articulate just how badass he had to be to come back like he did and so soon.

Jochen Rindt, I never saw him race but he is one of the most interesting racers ever imo, I love learning everything I can learn about him and his generation.

Jackie Stewart was the first one I remember, so much can be said about his greatness and especially his influence and wisdom.

If I had to vote on a GOAT I would probably refuse, it is impossibile imo.
