Man it looks like most of the trucks are primarily sponsored by the manufacturer themselves. Talk about going all in
 
I watched the two episodes of race for the seat. Maybe I'm missing something, but how does the scoring make any sense?

The R team is the fastest drivers, yet all 3 groups get the same points?
 
I didn't expect much with that episode when they said they were going to run VIR with late model cars? They have recruited every driver but one who have only raced on short track ovals. The Trucks have 5 road courses in their schedule and they have only one guy out of the bunch to try out with road racing experience. I'm at the point to where I hope the Dodges don't get humiliated this year. Their only hope is Butterbean and I think they will screw that up. No confidence at all in Chris Rice and his management style.
 
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Hocevar at Daytona in trucks. What possibly can go wrong.

To be clear they didn't get rid of restrictions but they did loosen them up from 5 to 8 races for 3 year or more Cup drivers. I believe none for the Championship races. Daytona is a big money race, it's going to bring sponsors and non full timers.
From 5 to 10 races with 3 years plus in o'reilly

Corner speeds will be down, harder to drive, more competitive I would think for the smaller teams who don't have aero engineers and equipment. Good drivers will still be up front. I noticed the change when Xfinity did it. The racing didn't suffer.
