2026 Silly Season

Jr already has an experience veteran in Allgaier, one who shows no sign of losing a step. Daniel is six years younger but will Jr. want another vet? Will Chevy want to keep that as a development seat?
Didnt Justin kinda of hint that 2026 was going to be his last year?

I think Jr. would be more than happy to run Daniel if he brings enough money. JRM seems fine with running as many cars as they can adequately fund, full or part time.

Daniel thinks he is a Cup driver.
Thinking you're something doesn't make it true OR pay the bills. I think Daniel is a decent driver, but if I'm looking for a new driver, I'm looking towards some of the raw new talent in Xfinity or trucks instead of a retread Cup driver.

I predict Suarez will end up at Kaulig in Xfinity. Josh Williams has been a complete bust. Suarez is about the same age as Williams and has a much better track record. Kaulig has slipped in the last few years but they still have good RCR equipment. The unheralded Daniel Dye has been decent in the 10 car so I know with better drivers Kaulig can still be competitive.

All it really comes down to is how much money he can bring somewhere. If he has a lot he'll be in a cup car, if not its Xfinity.

That would be a good spot for Suarez for sure. The way Suarez is talking, I wouldn't be surprised if he has a deal on somewhere he is going.

He is a Cup driver.

Just Pitbull leaving was kind of the nail in the coffin for his time there, unfortunately.

I just hope Connor is not being rushed.
I agree....and thus, an Xfinity gig wouldn't be agreeable IMO.

I’ve always liked Daniel and admire his resolve through all the changes in his career. My fantasy path for him is he is the lead in the primary Ram Truck team. He then leads them to impressive for a first year team results. When the inevitable Cup team emerges, Daniel returns as lead driver.

World Class redemption story.

I agree with you, that would be a fantastic outcome for Suarez. It would be neat to see him dominate in the Truck series for a year or two.

Am I the only one not high on Suarez? He's had solid equipment his whole career and not much to show for it save for the year he won the Xfinity championship. He would certainly be competitive in a good Xfinity car but I'd rather see a rookie in that seat, JMO.

An IMSA seat would be really cool. Suarez has always been good at the road courses GTP would be a better fit.

You're not the only one. I look at him as another middle-of-the-road Cup driver. Those guys are easy to find.

Should definitely have a Cup ride over Herbst, Ty Dillon, Ware for sure. Probably Justin Haley too at this point.

Not a Yota fan but he would be perfect in the 42 alongside Jones. A solid veteran. They are a long way away from needing anything more but are steadily improving (what else COULD they do tbh?).
Suarez is 75 points / 20% behind JHN. I like Daniel more but I don't see why JJ would make that swap.

There's a 'Daniel is fired after making racist comment and Hendrick rehabs him' joke here somewhere but I couldn't quite find it.

If The Onion covered NASCAR, this would absolutely be the angle.

"Daniel Suarez looks for new minority group to disparage in promotion effort"

Wonder if Spire would dump Haley for Suarez? Haley's big selling point is he doesn't crash a lot of cars, unlike Cody Ware. But he's not doing much either.

The way they make decisions around Spire I wouldn't be shocked if they dumped Haley for Cody Ware.
