I predict with the questionable reliability and slower pace of the Hypercars that an LMP2 will win overall. Honestly, all of LMP2, GTE Pro, and GTE Am are pretty stacked. Looking forward to the race.

I googled it. Too late to change it now.

A few years ago, all the hybrids broke and it was P2 cars leading for most of the night. Eventually the repaired Porsche hybrid overtook them in the last hour, but that was serious fun watching that unfold. Go Jackie Chan!

Of course, after that, they slowed the P2 cars down because we just can't have that, you know, a privateer winning and all.

Right now, there is so little competition in hypercar that I can't see what would get wrong is loosening it up a little and at least let the P2 cars in the fight. or at least have an outside chance. Can you even imagine the 5 hypercars fighting for their lives against 25 P2 cars?

Either way, I'de love to see a P2 car and a privateer team scoop the big prize. If Glick can't win, I'm all for the P2 cars.

Watching practice right now and I'm feeling pretty good about this one, I think I might watch a couple more hours this year.
I don't quite have the excitement I had for this race during the Toyota vs. Audi vs. Porsche years but I'd like to see a surprise victory by Alpine or Glickenhaus.

There's actually a quite interesting entry list this year, there are two all-female teams in the field, Kevin and Jan Magnussen will share an LMP2. Juan Pablo Montoya and Robert Kubica will also compete in a P2 car.
Paralyzed former MotoGP rider Takuma Aoki will compete for the Garage 56 team.

When it comes to sports car racing it's pretty much counting down days till 2023 for me.

These guys are running 3:46s in GTE now, the development they do from year to year is something else.

LMP2s have great pace still and could go one, maybe even two laps longer on stints this year so they have as good a chance as ever. Imo, this is the most compelling Le Mans since the last Porsche/Toyota battle in 2017.

There’s a lot to sort out on the 709 compared to the 708 Glickenhaus. The thing looks horrible to drive, Dumas was just constantly sawing on the wheel through the high speed corners.

It's probably not set up related because of one the cars is fine, right? It's probably shocks or something.

Even going back to Monza before the race itself it seems like their cars are far apart on the timing charts. Maybe they do just run wildly different setups before race day but it’s tough to figure out.

Man, Idk if there’s a clip of it through the Porsche Curves or not but it gets really hairy there. I for sure thought he was going to wreck at a few different points.

HYPERPOLE!

They are going to hammer the crap out of us with hyper this, hyper that, hyper, hyper, hyper. All hyper all the time. You can't even have qualifying that isn't hyper.

What the hell is a hyperpole? Sounds like a porno movie or something.

The FIA and WEC are so invested in all this hyper-ness that I seriously doubt any LMDh will get a fair BOP. This is going to be like the old mandated 1/2 second advantage for the Toyotas that turned out to be three or four seconds.

They have gone so far out there with this hypercar nonsense we are you to have hypercars in hyperraces with hyperpitstops, and afterwards they will have the hyperawards on the hyperpodium and we can watch it all in hypervision.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that cringes at that name. There's not anything hyper about the class since the Valkyrie program went kaput.

Wet start. Time to see who can control their emotions and hormones.
I would even consider dropping to the back. Weather looks dry for the finish.

da Costa is flying in the Jota. This guy is for sure getting a factory sports car drive eventually, get him out of Formula E (same for de Vries).
