LMP3 - #54 made up a full minute since last caution 100 minutes ago. Distance to #74 down to 11 seconds.

DPi #60, #10, #31 separated by 2.5 seconds for overall lead. Acuras battling for lead. #31 Conway sneaks past for second.

No lie, if Letarte and Jeff Burton wants to drive next season in the Rolex 24...

Hell, let 'em at it. If Jr joins in that would be icing on the cake.

Now Burton's questioning both his own ability to be competitive, and his motivation level.

"A man's got to know his limitations."
Which is fair, I mean IMSA did buy the HSA Series or maybe he goes into a more "gentlemen" role in the likes of a Ferrari Challenge, Super Trofeo, or maybe even the Endruance Cup. Like he said, it all depends on if he has the dedication to train for something like it. With Harrison being a Ford driver, maybe he and Harrison could participate with one another? That would be cool.

Give him a P3 and let it rip.

Fuel mileage advantage is starting to add up for Acura.
To have an advantage top speed wise with the slippery Oreca chassis, on point gearing, and the tuning for these Acuras had to be on point for this almost unheard of mix.

Saving fuel and faster in a straight line? That's crazy, but don't count out the Cadillacs yet either.

It's not like LMP3 is the only class to have mechanical failures.

Does this get #44 GTD Lally back on lead lap?
Not just that but they seem to bring out the majority of the yellows, yesterday it felt like every 15 minutes another was making crop circles in the grass somewhere.

They should be back on the lead lap with about a half hour difference from the leaders in fuel.

This is the wildest endurance race I can ever remember. You've got seven fast prototypes racing through 53 slow cars, so they are always working their way through a big pack of slow cars. It's crazy.

All the DPI teams have taken a turn at the front, and several have fought their way back from laps down. One hour to go and there's no way to tell who's going to win. Just crazy. If they run this hard today, how bonkers are the sprint races going to be?

Looks like Magnus is actually basically even on fuel with the GTD leaders now since you can pit after taking the wave-by. They’re just further back in traffic.

The GTD Pro battle has been fantastic.

I could stand to see MIke Shank celebrate.
Don't forget a Shank win would also represent Helio's second consecutive Rolex win, on top of his IMSA championship and fourth Indianapolis 500 win. Helio's run of success is pretty close to unapparelled. Even Foyt and Gurney's '67 achievements, as great as they were, are not any better than this. Helio lost his Indycar ride and wqe all wondered if he was done. Then, then went on a savage run of success.
