NBC is only airing 7 races over the final 20 though. Only guaranteed one is homestead
There have been a lot of changes made over the last decade, especially over the last few years. I along with many other fans feel that some of those changes were unnecessary. The fact that I love NASCAR does not mean that I have to like every single thing about it or every rule change that Mr. France makes. It's not immune to criticism, and criticizing it doesn't make me or anyone else any less of a fan than you. This is definitely a transition period for nascar. Some fans will walk away. Nothing they can do to stop ya. Trying to chase them and get them back proved to be a losing battle. I like and agree with the grandstand downsizing that's going on and still needs to happen at a few joints. The new system for getting in the chase has produced great racing. The new qual system is very entertaining to me. I like the 4 drivers on equal ground at homestead for the title as well. I love this sport. The fanbase IMO has become very whiny over the past decade. As if nascar is supposed to cater to their individual needs! It used to be that nascar fans banded together to bash outsiders who bashed nascar. Now "fans" get in line to bash the sport they supposedly love.
We sure banded together to roast the **** out of Donovan McNabb. There have been a lot of changes made over the last decade, especially over the last few years. And from what I've seen, NASCAR fans do still band together to bash outsiders that bash NASCAR, so I'm not sure where you're coming from when you say that. I've seen it happen plenty of times on forums like this one whenever a random troll pops up with that whole "it's just guys driving in circles" or "NASCAR isn't as good as (insert name of other racing series here)" nonsense. Thankfully you don't see too much of that on this forum, but it happens every once in a blue moon.
