I didn't care to read it all but from what I read it made no sense, it starts off pretty much saying Johnson is hated cause he wins, but then goes on to metion Dale who has more Championships then Johnson(also more wins) but says he was the most popular driver, so how can that be?
My problem with Johnson isn't he always wins it's just not someone I'm a fan of honestly, hell I wish Jr could have seasons like Johnson does and I'd still be a fan of his.
Take Chad away and ???????????????
Actually, Jimmie Johnson won the 2006 Daytona 500 without Chad.
Was Chad on the phone or did they hide him in the hauler
Dude, you're kinda short changing Johnson here. I mean yea, Chad and Johnson are an unbelievable dynamic duo, but Johnson is still an amazing elite stock car driver and to say that he owes all of his success to Chad kinda denies the skill and talent that he has when it comes to racing and driving.
He may be good but not great IMO It takes good cars to win and he seems to have them more often then not. There are better drivers in the cup series that dont have a championship at all. Kyle Busch is one of them.
If Mr Busch had a crew chief that was as good as Chad I am betting things would be much different. It is possible that I am heavily biased on this subject though.

Chase Elliott - mark this threadProbably Austin Dillon. I would absolutely love that.
I'd trade ya Gustafson for Dave right now.
Kyle misuses his CC's intelect. Even belittles him at times.
Same thing happened with Addington. Kyle drove him off for no good reason and look how Addington is doing now.
Like they say, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
I doubt Busch can drive a loose car like Jimmie can. Jimmie prefers for his cars to be loose, that's why he's so fast.
So did Michael Waltrip lol.. well not '06 but u get itActually, Jimmie Johnson won the 2006 Daytona 500 without Chad.
I think you've missed a lot of KyBu's races. He seems to be fast 90% of the time & he's sideways 95% of the time.I doubt Busch can drive a loose car like Jimmie can. Jimmie prefers for his cars to be loose, that's why he's so fast.

Yup... you need to have speed, confidence, and patience... not just 1 of the 3 lolI doubt it.
One thing that JJ has that Kyle and his brother don't have is emotional discipline. There have been lots of times Kyle threw away a good finish because he let his emotions get the better of him... he was mad.
JJ has the ability to remain focused on the task at hand and race smart whether he's mad or not.
Kyle and his brother are what they are. They're never going to change. When things are going good for them it's because they have 'matured'. When things don't go their way the true colors start showing.
Kyle could still be a champion driver in the Cup series even with his emotional issues: see Tony Stewart.
But he'll never be the driver JJ is because of his temperament.
I doubt it.

The thing about JJ is that he's the most focused driver on the track. He's not worried about Nationwide, trucks or some dirt race that weekend. He just puts all his effort into Cup and it clearly pays off.

Who knows? He probably just keeps his private life private - which is why he can remain so focused.Outside of LOWES duties, meetings and so on what else is he doing? There is a reason why people see Jimmie as a bland, non-appealing dude.
He can't be too boring he got drunk and fell off of the top of a golf cart that was racing another golf cart, among other crazy things.Who knows? He probably just keeps his private life private - which is why he can remain so focused.
When the Jeff/Brooke saga hit air waves you saw Jeff's performance suffer. The whole racing world knew his private life was falling apart. When the world found out about Kurt's temper (the media could have easily left that alone & let him figure it out on his own) it seemed everyone was against him and his decision making only became worse.
So just because a driver keeps his life off the track private does not mean everything he does is focused on racing & is a complete drone. They prefer to keep what's on the track on the track and what's off the track off of it. Which is how it should be. You don't see your boss leaking every bit of info about your home life to your co-workers do you?
Racing golf carts is actually fun, I got caught doing it at a serious golf tournament one year, actually rear ended another golf cart... lmaoHe can't be too boring he got drunk and fell off of the top of a golf cart that was racing another golf cart, among other crazy things.
Not sure what ur asking here? Or do you think it says Johnson is the most popular? It says Dale was the most popular in the '90's until he was dethroned by Gordon.
That's truebut I dont think that's quite why he's so excellent and precise.
