They are assembled there but made here and sent there as kits and the money stays here, according to abc news the most jobs in america connected to auto manufacturing are in this order, Ford, GM, Dodge, Toyota, Kia etc. This is one of those propaganda filled things that toyota spends hundreds of millions of dollars convincing americans that its patriotic to buy a toyota and send your money to japan.
Tell that to the UAW fraks who were ultimately responsible for sending the assembly jobs away...
I don't disagree with you, J. But I think that you are a bit, how do I say this, biased.
We are talking about Brand Identity in NASCAR. And to be fixated on the fact that Toyota is a Japanese company pays a disservice to the American Citizens who are quite happy to be working for said Japanese company. Not many (any) Americans can say that they build the street versions of any of the other models that compete in NASCAR's Top Tier Series.
It's an interesting conversation to say the least...
Are you and Johali like a civil union couple or something?..........
ABC news had a week long special in 5 minute segments on the evening news about jobs in the auto industry in the US last spring and that was the result. It surprised the hell out of them, they thought it would be toycar but the big three still make most of the parts and pieces and assemble most of their cars here.Interesting. I didn't know that. IQ ALERT, there is none.
You have a point too. This is a mess. I say we kill everyone and start over.
