Atlanta Cup

You're in Australia, correct? What time is it there? Like 8:30 am, Monday morning?
I'm to the right of Aus...............New Zealand. Its now 10:36am on monday
You are correct with your time for Aus......they are 2 hours behind us.......some say light years Lol

Quick O.T. question before the race starts Clutch...I was looking at this big world map the other day and it even showed the poles. In the part that showed the South Pole (Antarctica) ther were two pieces of non-Antarctic land on that map...one was the tip of South America and one was New Zealand.

So...getting to the point...is it pretty cold in New Zealand?

The scenery in the LOTR movies is absolutely incredible.

We've got some neighbours to the South like that ;) J/K

Not really......Most of us live up North. (Auckland has about 1/3 of the whole population) Even right at the bottom dont get too cold.....prolly 50 degrees in the day down there mid winter.
About 60 mid winter up here in Auckland

Big Tony starting from the pole and Danica with a respectable starting position...this should be FUN

P.S. - in her pre-race interviw Danica says she has no rear-end issues (sorry-I couldn't resist)

Been there for a couple flyfishing trips, bit nipply. The most Gourgeous country I've ever seen absoulutely Beautiful, the residents do seem to be a bit off....maybe from spinning around upside down to long? Or maybe the foam from that nasty beer they drink?

We live in a pretty place for sure. .........never seen LOTR. I must some day. Lol

Right on.

Almost race time and it should be a good one as Atlanta isn't the typical 1.5 mile oval we usually get to see.

I'm drinking one right now!......Lol I know its early but its a ritual on race day for me.....:)

Can't wait for this race to start, I won't be here for all of it with you guys so I'm sorry about that

"See freakin above", says the person who also posted about weather after someone else did. What's your deal?

It seems like every time I post something, you feel the need to get mad about it. Did I do something to you in the past??
My post was before yours and substantiated with the web site. And no I have better things to do.

..And here are tonight's alternative commercials (when the repeats get boring) :)

I want to say they stocked our box with a dark lager Spieght's? Just did'nt work for me I like a cool clear beer, you know like a Budweiser or a cold crisp Coors! There was a bottle of New Zealand Whiskey however that more than made up for it ;)
You really do have a beautiful country and the mountain fishing was Fantastic!

70% chance of rain for tomorrow, 60% for Tuesday, 40% for Wednesday, and 20-30% throughout the rest of the forecast for Atlanta. Hope the same thing doesn't happen this year that happened last year when the race was pushed back until Tuesday. I missed Jeff's 85th win. :(

Nothing on the radar right now, though.

Unless there is a major front coming through...there is always a 50% chance of rain in Georgia this time of year...somewhere.

Thank you...thank you....that gives be time to stir the chili :)

Ooh that sounds good.

Chili hint...I enetered many "Chili Cookoff" contests and dabbled with spices and various ingredients...then once I just doubled the meat...and won.

My Fantasy Squad could use a lift! I have 2nd, 3rd 6th and 15th starting spots on my active roster.

Now, if they can all improve just 1 spot each, I will be in Fat City!!

The crowd kinda surprises me. I figured it'd be bigger since this should be a wild race with only 2 races before the chase starts.

I love chili. We took 2nd place one year in a local cook-off.
Feel free to post your recipe.

I think there's still a "kitchen Corner" thread around here somewhere. I wouldn't mind having a look at some new chili recipes - when you guys get time.

2nd place is excellent...I worked on my chili for years and my best was 3rd....then I took advice from a friend and put two pounds of 90% lean hamburger in a one pound recipe...and they loved it :D
