Is that from your house? What time of night?

I haven't bothered looking because I assumed I was too far south. If you have them that far above the horizon, it may be worth a shot here.

Don't know for sure yet but I've seen a few articles suggesting they might be more vibrant and more active tonight.

No aurora tonight.

Shutter speed was 30 seconds, shooting at 3200 ISO for exposure.

Gave it a shot around 8:00 but we were probably too early (if not too far south). There was also a lot of ambient light from the quarter moon. We have to drive for a few minutes to reach a point with a clear northern horizon, and we're too old and sleepy to drive much later than that. We did spot two raccoons and a deer, and heard a frog and a marsh bird, so it was a good evening anyway.
