I would just like to start an appreciation thread for Austin Dillon for having the balls to stand up to two of the sports biggest bullies on the track. Austin Dillon made himself an American Legend tonight. Love or hate it, the underdog is on top.

Austin takes what Austin wants. Tonight he wanted Joeys backside and Denny's shoulder in a two piece. He needed to win so people don't get fired. "But my familia"

Daytona 2018 he wrecked Almirola on the final lap
Charlotte 2017 was a fuel mileage race
Texas 2020 he got to the lead and than defended in on several restarts with the package no one could pass with, still it was perhaps his most earned win
Daytona 2022 he was pretty much the only competitive running after the big one and still couldn't make the pass for the lead cleanly
 
As a driver, I raced clean to a fault.
I regret it.

Michigan. Dillon leading the race was hooked in the right rear by Keselowski on the last lap and went hard into the wall. No penalty. Brad was sorry though. Dillon came up just like Hamlin did and Kez was there. It's called racing people. Dillion didn't cry and whine like Hamlin did though.

I watched that race. That was not for the win and it wasn't the last lap.
Accidents can happen. Yesterday was obviously not an accident.
Yes it has been seen before but it's become inflationary in more recent seasons.
 
Also, I will defend Dillon slightly. Not for yesterday, but for his season. He has been pretty unlucky and has been caught up in many things that weren't exactly his fault, especially early on in the season. Though they're not a playoff quality team, he'd certainly be in better shape had it not been for such tough luck this season.

Here I'll fix it for ya.
Dillon gets hooked in the right rear at Michigan by Keselowski, goes hard into the wall. No penalty by Nascar.

That, but it is a well known rule. No excessive actions on pit road when the yellow is waving. Logano on pit road doing a burnout in front of the winners pit box? He did get called to the trailer so who knows, he might be a star come Tuesday. Hamlin looked confused also.

I thought so too. Logano blew the line, blew by the officials directing cars to the outside lane, drove like a jerk at people standing there and scattered innocent bystanders while doing a burnout. It wasn't his best Logano. Hamlin was right behind him also but he wasn't as extreme as Logano.

This !!!! This is what caught my attention big time after the race.
Just a wild guess but I am thinking $50,000 - $100,000 for those shenanigans.
If it were my decision he would be writing a $500,000 check. When teams,
family members , sponsors , officials, have been put at risk and fearing for their
lives , it is a million times worse than what AD did on the track.
