Those cars pitting right along the warehouse is going to be a thing of beauty.

It's too bad the race is on VS; there will be more people at the race than watching on TV.

How are the streets there ? Any problems you might foresee there with road conditions or power outages ??

I know Baltimore County is still without power, not sure about Baltimore City though. They didn't get hit near as hard as we did in Southern Maryland.

I switched from Dish Network to Time Warner and PRESTO! There is VS in Hi Def - at no additional cost! I have been able to see every IZOD race - and I even got to watch the Tour de France for the first time in years! It's spectacular in HD, too!!

When F1 was running at the Long Beach Grand Prix ('76 to '81), the pits were on Ocean Blvd and it was really spectacular. Also, the steep uphill on Pine Ave and the steep downhill on Linden Ave (where drivers regularly got the front tires off the ground) were phenomenal!!

It's gonna be a thing of beauty watching those cars race down Pratt Street and pitting along the B&O Warehouse with Oriole Park in the backdrop. Not to mention, the Indy drivers will get to experience how Maryland Crab Cakes are supposed to taste. I've had "Maryland Crab Cakes" in other states, y'all don't know what you're doing because you've never heard of Old Bay.

In Long Beach, one can taste Authentic Mexican Food! I've had Mexican in other parts of the country and it pales in comparison to what's available in SoCal!

I really wanna taste an authentic Crab Cake - and a Martinsville hot dog too! :p

You can keep the crab cakes....nasty. They are a waste of perfectly good crab meat. I only eat crab legs dipped in butter.

Crab legs dipped in butter?

I prefer whole blue crabs seasoned with Old Bay (if you don't live in Maryland, you've probably never heard of it).

Around here, Old Bay goes on crabs, shrimp, vegetables, fries and popcorn. It's what's in our salt shakers.

And Philly doesn't even know how to make Philly Cheesesteaks. Maybe if they put Old Bay on it, the food would be better and people would be nicer in that city. :D

How can Philly not know how to make a Philly cheesesteak...it should only be called a Philly cheese steak if your in eastern PA...not Arizona like I saw 2 weeks ago

The bread isn't supposed to be stale, there's supposed to be more than one slice of steak, and there are supposed to be toppings like onions and green peppers.

Genos sucks ass.

Not actually even a fan of cheese steaks but speaking of Genos he died like last week.

Looks like an interesting track layout! It will be interesting to watch. It's not Sears Point but then again, few tracks on the IZOD Tour are a great as that one.

let me get this straight- the pits are on the back side of the track, relative to the finish line? I could see a few teams playing with that.

I see a massive crash at the pit road opening. Hope everybody double-checks their brake lines...

Did the poor, spoiled athletes have a hard time getting to work? Some of us put up with it 5 or 6 days per week.

Well, events are delayed at Baltimore. This over track concerns. You have pavement curing problems and barriers were still being set for this race. They are expecting a delay of 3-4 hours from this. Drivers have also shown quite a bit of concern of this track with bumps and railroad tracks, etc.

Here is the "current" revised schedule but it could change..

Indycar practice from 3:50PM-4:50PM & 6:05PM-7:00PM

Thanks Bernard, we didnt need another street course, we needed more ovals and we wouldnt have this problem. Indycar didnt need this thats for sure.

Here is the latest schedule now..

Sounds like the short-lived situation in San Jose. Those railroad tracks were nasty!

More ovals on the schedule is not the answer when there are so many faaaabulous natural road courses in this country! But you are correct in saying that the series does NOT need any more bad publicity!

Traffic f'ing sucked.

Sorry DanicaFan, I'm putting you out of business this week.

Bill auburlen posted pics from door-car qualifying. intense! Also, Scott Sharp is apparently unhappy with the lack of practice time for the doorslammers.

Baltimore City screwed the pooch.

They're funneling all the traffic on to Lombard Street. Then, at the main intersection of Lombard and MLK, they don't let traffic off Lombard Street. They keep MLK Blvd. flowing for 20 minutes, then they let four cars off Lombard Street.

I spent an entire hour on Lombard Street -- a total of a half mile drive. I have nothing nice to say about traffic today. Hopefully it's an easier commute tomorrow morning.

Sorry Andy but that post is too hard to read.. Here it is in simpler form..
