He was tight with Tim Richmond. He wore a very flamboyant tux that had belonged to Tim, when he attended the awards banquet the year Rusty won the title. He wore in honor of Tim. He was Rustys crew chief when he won the title driving for Raymond Beadle. So sad.

Me too . Barry was one of my favorites . Got to meet him at the MacDonald's across from the Daytona track years ago .Was devastated for him when his kids were killed . He was so strong to carry on with his life . I sure do hope that he is reunited with them now.

Barry was a neat guy. You wonder how things might have went differently for him if he would have moved to Penske with Rusty instead of that dumpster fire that was the Mickey Gibbs operation. There was a crapload of talent on that Blue Max team.
