Best Album of all time?

I saw The Black Watch about 10 years ago when they toured the US. They were great, but they have been disbanded. I heard Britain could not afford to have all millitary bands. When I saw them they were having thier 250 year annivers. It was inside an arena, and the marching in close quarters was amazing.

Fear Factory, Digimortal
System of a Down, Toxicity
Type o Negetive, World Coming Down
Pantera, Official Live 101 Proof
Alice in Chains, Face Lift and Dirt

OH Ph, You just brought back some GREAT childhood memories..

I was a "guide" and Majorette for a pipe and drum corps during the '50s...... A Catholic School troup ( which isn't easy for an Irish Jew)

BG talks about guilt??? try this history on for size and a Nascar Fanatic to boot:D :D

Well, I like opera, rap, and country. What does that make me?

:abduct:

Tabasco: I have both David Allan Coe's and Hank Jr.'s greatest hits, and love them equally!

Abooja, If you can find it, the best DAC is David Allen Coe RIdes Again. I have it on cass. The songs never end, he goes from one right into the next. He had to record it in one take on each side. That is the only tape I have ever heard anyone do it. On some songs he has to change keys and you hear it before the song starts. Do you have For The Record the first 10 years? That's a good one too. How did someone in New York find out about DAC? I thought only rednecks like myself listen to him.:D

Hey what about the current country albums. I love anything by the Dixie Chicks and Tim McGraw. Old country includes Johnny Cash, George Jones, and Lorretta Lynn. But also listen to a long list of things. Bluegrass included. O Brother Where Are Thou? is great!!:)

Tabasco:

I don't know those albums, but I'll sure look for them. DAC played a couple of times nearby in Jersey, but I never got to see him. I have seen Merle Haggard perform at the old Tramps in NYC, though. That was killer!

BTW, I used to date a guy from Baton Rouge and, among other things, he got me into NASCAR, real barbecue, politics, and David Allan Coe! (Other than that, he was a bum.)

:chainsaw:

That sound like everybody here, but the last part.:) I saw DAC about 10 years ago in Vicksburg at one of the casinos for free. He plays in the area a few times a year, but in small bars with little advertising.

Can't decide between The White Album or Bat out of Hell....

MY MOST FAVORITE ALBUM:
GEORGE THOROGOOD
AND THE DESTROYERS
(ANTHOLOGY)

I ALSO LIKE BILLY RAY CYRUS, ALAN JACKSON, BOB SEGER AMD BRYAN ADAMS.........:dazzler:

guess i'll have to speak out a little for the younger crowd:
Bad Religion - All ages / Recipe for Hate / Generator / Against the Grain ( all the BR albums recorded with Brett are great)

Offspring - Ignition / Smash / Ixnay

Anti-Flag - A new kind of army / die for the government

both of SOAD's albums are great

Slipknots first CD is good

and last but not least - D12 Devils night is about the only rap album i've listened to more then a couple times

Due to last-minute scheduling changes (for details, see thread http://www.racing-forums.com/bbs/showthrea...&threadid=10056 "How's this for a bad weekend?"), I've gone from

Greatest Hits, Hank Williams, Jr.
17 Greatest Hits, David Allan Coe
A Decade of Hits, Charlie Daniels Band
A Decade of Hits, Allman Brothers Band
The Essential Waylon Jennings

Plus a HUGE CCR box set

to

Dirt, Alice in Chains (good idea, racerx)

Except I can't find that here. Probably at work. Great.

The first grouping of albums is some typical weekend background music when I know a big race is coming on and I'm trying to pretend like I'm there. The Alice in Chains album is pretty self-explanatory if you know it, and read my post.

:bs:

bob seger's "live bullet" may not be the best but, it ranks up there
