Oh and by the way, we all did have NASCAR licenses. Even in New England back in the 50's they were NASCAR sanctioned tracks. Stafford and Thompson still are today.

I had noticed a "rash" of newbies, all espousing a similar theme. I am glad to hear they have a short attention span.

well, maybe they are history now......thats why I say why feed into people like that, they get such enjoyment out of starting problems.....

hey little E your just upset because the only track other than daytona that your driver can win at and he didnt No disrespect to Jr he is a great competitor and I enjoyed that race very much

ok, i admit im a jr fan, and i dont think fox did the best they could showing us when exactly the caution came out and if jr was past gordon or not. that is the one problem with the no racing back to the caution but that rules there for safety and thats more important than the difference between jr winning and jr finishing second. He's got plenty of more time to win plate races. sure im a lil upset he didnt win when he did have a chance but im not going to whine and pout about it and throw beer cans on the track. im going to say atleast jr still has the points lead and thats not too bad.

ok only my 2 cents here. I know it really sucks to watch a race end when it did, but that is totally up to Nascar. As i was watching it, being a Gordon fan, and my father being a Jr. fan man we were both excited, when for awhile Jr. and Gordon both side by side , was getting pretty exciting there, both fighting for the win, when the caution came out we cant always see what Nascar see's right there. But i imagine they had the proof and played it back and could see Gordon was in the lead. So i know i was not terribly happy for Gordon winning that way, as i wanted to see them battle at the end, and i imagine it was going to be a great finish. BUT the way Nascar's rule is we must follow it. I have to make myself look at it in a different point and i would like for you too. Lets say the last 2 laps they race......gordon , jr, gordon, jr......and then what would happen if Harvick.....sped up and what oh no....for some reason Harvick happened to bump gordon and gordon started to spin and happened to hit jr....**** they both are out, banged up and Harvick win!!!!!!..........now Jr. and Gordon got DNF....Now that would of sucked! NO offence to Harvick fans, just trying to show that things could of been worse. And finishing second is not bad, when your sitting on the Point lead.
I know like i said finishing like that SUCKS....but there is nothing we can do.
All i can think about is all those beer cans probally FULL being flung at Gordon, was wrong. Its not Gordon's faught at all. I could only imagine what could of happened if one of those cans got into his car and seriously hurt him, even killed him. Hate to say that, but dont people think? Dosnt matter who you are, you should never try and hurt anyone. People should of just flung the cans on the track BUT not directly at him.
Oh well, lets all just look forward to next week!

I resisted the urge to join this debate yesterday (sunday) and am glad I did.
Against my better judgement, I tried to watch some of this race when I got home from work. I saw about 8 laps of plate "racing" and then another caution (shocking). I tried to watch the end, but amazingly I fell asleep apparently during yet another caution and woke up to see it was over.
I am glad Jeff Gordon won, but it was still a plate "race". More entertainment than race. It is over, Jeff did well in the points and now we can get back to actual racing next week.

You know, DE7...I gotta wonder if that's a usual member who just signed in with a different name.
He may be a DEJr fan who can't stand that Gordon won or a DEJr hater who is just trying to make DEJr's fans look bad.
Either way, it's difficult to take actions like that too seriously.

little E....I might make a suggestion...there is a ezboard that puts Jr. right up there next to God....and most hate Jeff for every reason under the sun...you just might be more comfortable over there!

all im going to say is this if it went green with 2 to go, jr still would not have won he did not have a good car for restarts, so i belive it would have been 24,29,or 31 takin the win.
