Haven't seen it mentioned here... what a freaking drag man. 17 year-old loses both legs.


Silver lining: The kid woke up today, and is already learning how to use a hand clutch. And a crowdfunding page has doubled their goal in just a few days. Tons of support from the racing community. It's pretty damned heartwarming.

It took them an hour and a half to remove him from the car.... unfortunately, his legs were amputated as a result of the crash.

Felt so bad for that young man.

Absolutely terrible to be 16 and lose both of your legs, I hope he reaches out to Alex Zanardi and realize that he can still race and continue to be competitive. Also, to realize there is so much more than just racing he can do.

His future is still so bright.
