Bloomquist

The guy was a beast. RIP...I wished these posts weren't moved to the other thread as I never think of checking in over there.

Yep. Then I forget it's in that section and go waaaay off-topic. Really need to get some therapy to resolve my tendency to make everything about me.

Just like that ^^^^.

NTSB Issues Report, Calls Scott Bloomquist Plane Crash Intentional

The National Transportation Safety Board’s (NTSB) investigation into Hall of Famer Scott Bloomquist’s fatal plane crash last year found no mechanical problem while listing the probable cause as “the pilot’s intentional flight into a building as an act of suicide.”
Bloomquist, 60, was pronounced dead at the scene after the Piper J3C-65 Cub antique plane he was flying on Aug. 16, 2024, crashed into a barn on his family’s property in Mooresburg, Tenn. The NTSB released its report on the incident June 5.

If you have ever watched the movie Second Hand Lions it's uncanny how similar the two are.
"Best I can figure, the two of them were trying to fly thru that barn upside down".

I mean...he had a lot of medical stuff going on, you never know what's in a person's brain. In his mind it may have been better then suffering.

From what I've been reading, it does sound like he received some bad health news and decided to go out on his own terms instead

Yeah he does not strike me as someone who would chose to be in hospice waiting for the end.

I remember reading somebody that suggested it was suicide only a few days after the crash.
It was too soon at the time imo, and I didnt post it here. But I think that is what happened.
