BLUE JEANS GO GREEN 200 PRESENTED BY COTTON, THE FABRIC OF OUR LIVES

What's with these full paragraph names for these races this weekend?

I'm just waiting for the "Duck Dynasty Duck Commander Brought To You By A&E Powered by Chick-Fil-A to Benefit Retired Duck Hunters 500"

Yeah I started watching in 95. Nothing like good Ole days of going straight from Sunday Morning Count down to "gentlemen start your engines." non of that pre-race crap.

Lol I meant "you saw.."

I started watching about when you did. Good stuff back then. Ned, Bob, Benny. I liked Kernan too.

a drunk monkey could have driven the 54 car to victory. When they showed kyle's in car it was clear to me he was a long way from even pushing the car. his hands were steadier than mine in a street car. That tells me the car was so much better than the others it wasn't a contest. I think kyle just paced himself to not make it look horrible.

I agree they are getting a problem with the NW series. When I see KB do that I have to be honest I turn it off.

Run what you brung. If you're good enough to have the best people line up behind you then do what you can.
Nobody lines up behind someone that can't get the job done. It's about winning. Nobody remembers who finishes second.
JMO.

If anyone cares, today was Kyle's 100th lower series win (64th NW win, along with his 36 Truck wins).

Kyle rarely has to give a 100% in Nationwide races. His car is usually so much better than everyone elses he can mostly cruise.

Yep that is a disgrace. Time for Nascar to either admit that the NNS isn't a development series or kick the cup guys out. I really have no interest watching cup guys dominate anymore. Even Harvick in NNS is boring to me.
As much as dislike all the Cup guys dominating this series most of the time, the car count would of been even less if they weren't in it. Only 39 cars started the race, take out the 10 or 12 Cup guys and that leaves less that 30 cars.

Hate the game, not the player. Money made this sport what it is. It takes big bucks to run in NASCAR. A multi-million dollar sponsor demands results. If you're lucky enough to land fulltime sponsorship then you better be able to win races.

I saw that too his hands were not even moving on the wheel, steadiest in car shot I've ever seen. What gets me is why is that car so much better most of the time, even than all the other Cups funded teams?

Kyle knows how to set a car up, but JGR also has some well kept secrets in that front end.

This sport started out with a bunch of redneck gearheads getting together on the weekends to run whatever they had that would drive to the track for purse money that probably amounted to a week's pay.
Today the sport has evolved into a sport where a non-winning driver can earn 30+ million dollars a year. Billion dollar corporations line up to sponsor racecars in an effort to get their image on TV. The drivers with the best odds of getting their respective sponsors plastered on the boob tube draw the best sponsors and subsequently the most sponsor supplied funding. The more money you have, the better your opportunity to employ the best personnel in the sport. The better your personnel, the better your opportunity to see Victory Lane. It's not rocket science.

I am happy the rain shorten the Kyle Buschwide series race, to bad he was in the lead:D, and its still raining here , lets hope this storm cell clears out over night

It is not only the car, but Kyle knows how to keep up the momentum on the less powered N'wide car, they get it handling right so it corners without using hardly any brake, so he gets good mileage and good tire wear. Lets face it, he is the driver to beat most of the time in Nationwide. His driving style doesn't work as well in Cup, Johnson wins because he can run on the ragged edge lap after lap. But Johnson can't drive a N'wide car worth a damn. go figure.

I'm in SoCal and after today/last night, we have a lot more headed your way.

Seems pretty mellow here now, but I agree, its headed east. I think it'll be gone by tomorrow.

Hopefully dispersing before Avondale, AZ. Weird weather today though!! I swear we got all 4 seasons in San Diego.

Reading through this thread you'd think Kyle is single handedly responsible for ruining the NW series. It's funny considering the 4 other Cup drivers that finished behind him.

Is it that Kyle is running Cup equipment and the other Cup guys are running cars they built in their backyard?

No, they all need limits, but Kyle is the worst offender by far.

Penske, RCR, Jr. Motorsports, etc. do not build backyard cars. :D
(If they do, I need to know the location of the backyard.)

Hell, it quit here, sunned up and then DUMPED sideways 10 minutes later. Crazy weather.

EXACTLY what happened here 3 times today. And random bigass lightning strikes once every few hours.

He was twice as fast as the closest cup guy. It's possible.

Holy crap I miss Ned, Bob, and especially Benny. Damn.

His driving style doesn't work as well in Cup? Hmmm. He ain't bad. Tapered spacer next year. Into Kyle's wheelhouse.

Kyle was awesome today Kyle18. He isn't as happy with the Cup car. Denny isn't good either. He is talking about changing everything for tomorrow. Green track, unproven set up......could be interesting.
