Not sure if it's Ross or Hemric, maybe also the 54 team for staying out only to be out of gas for the restart.
Bubba tried blocking on the last lap in one of the only races he probably has a chance to win. I'm just not sure about calling him a bonehead for the block.
I'm not sure who I'd give it to, but I don't think I'd give it to him.
Well he was trying to win and I guess by your own reasoning that's ok too? Can’t blame Bubba for trying to win. Chance you take when it’s the last lap. From what I remember Chastain’s move seemed pretty chancy with a few laps left so my vote is Ross.

NASCAR for keeping this circus racing on the schedule.
Thankfully, the 5 got hit on the right side.

As you get closer to the end of the race, the dumbassness is more forgivable. But I have since seen another replay and looked closer and changed my mind. Ross was there.Well he was trying to win and I guess by your own reasoning that's ok too?
What do you mean until? Already happened at Daytona.This.
I hate superspeedway racing but we're gonna keep doing it until someone gets killed.
Maybe taking up golf or learning how to play chess would be better for you than attempting to be a Nascar fan.This.

Gragson gave Chastain an inch and Chastain took it. You can't do that with Chastain. Gragson is learning, he won't do that again. As you get closer to the end of the race, the dumbassness is more forgivable. But I have since seen another replay and looked closer and changed my mind. Ross was there.
Things were a little fuzzy after an afternoon of drinks.
What do you do when you have a multi million dollar facility? If you pull Talladega off the schedule that whole thing goes up in flames and makes the track useless....... and all those millions would be gone, or at least greatly reduced. A speedway you don't race on is worthless, and there's too much money already invested to just tear it down or let it rot.NASCAR for keeping this circus racing on the schedule.

The stands were reported to be as packed as they were in 2008 when Jr. won the race. Tell me how the fans in the stands were all boneheads for showing up to watch the racing at Talladega again. What do you do when you have a multi million dollar facility? What they could try since Texas is getting a facelift and repave anyway would be to flatten the banks to 9 degrees or something. That would break up the pack racing, require throttle and braking and would make it like a big short track. Speeds would drop, they would crash less hard and it just might give us some better racing. They have tried almost everything there, so why not make it into a big Milwaukee?
The problem with places like Talladega is they are flat and running within inches of each other at 200mph. If something happens, everyone behind it is probably going to be innocently caught up in it. All the drivers seem to hate racing there and Daytona, so maybe the high banks need to go. This is just a thought that it would only take changing one track to see if it works. Texas is getting rebuilt anyway, so why not?
I see your point. I would be for anything that took away the pack racing. You shouldn’t need help to pass. What do you do when you have a multi million dollar facility? All those spectators didn't stop the carnage. I don't think they necessarily have an attendance problem, but with all the destruction (highlighted by Larson' roll cage failing) they do seem to have a bit of a safety problem. The stands were reported to be as packed as they were in 2008 when Jr. won the race. Fontana has much less banking and we never saw the kind of multiple pack crashes like we saw last weekend. In early Nascar the cars were not so good and the banking helped, but now they are flat footed for 500 miles and jammed up each other's butts. That's always going to created some nasty accidents.I see your point. I would be for anything that took away the pack racing. You shouldn’t need help to pass.
They sold Fontana, which arguably, produced much better racing.
The wreck was a result of pack racing. The Larson incident literally could've happened at any other track. Why are people blaming it on superspeedway racing?
For years those races have been at in the top tier in attendance and ratings. You don't like them fine, and people such as yourself look for any excuse, I get it. Those tracks aren't going anywhere though is the reality in what I am saying. They all have at least two dates, one newer smaller one has been brought on line, one super calls themselves the worlds center for racing or something like that. They are increasing not disappearing is the reality. All those spectators didn't stop the carnage. I don't think they necessarily have an attendance problem, but with all the destruction (highlighted by Larson' roll cage failing) they do seem to have a bit of a safety problem.
For years the complains about pack racing have been pretty loud, so maybe they need to find a way to break that up. Slowing the cars isn't going to help because they will still be bunched up and they will wreck just as badly as they are now. They need to take away some aero and make they back off for the turns. Going round like a pack of lemmings seems to always create a "big one," and we really need to get away from that.
There are other high speed tracks like Fontana for comparison, Michigan for one. It also has lackadaisical attendance. Ya know what is missing? Pack racing.Fontana has much less banking and we never saw the kind of multiple pack crashes like we saw last weekend. Indycar saw how dangerous pack racing is and they took steps to minimize it. Nascar might want to look into what they can do about it with their cars.
We don't see these kinds of complaints on the 1.5s and smaller. This seems to be a super speedway problem.
Probably because they don't pile up 15-20 cars every race like they do at Daytona and Talladega. I'm not bashing Nascar because they do a reasonable job, but this new car is taking a little while to straighten out. If you make them too stiff they transfer the shock to the driver, and if the cars come apart that's no good either. There's a reasonable balance there somewhere. The Larson incident literally could've happened at any other track. Why are people blaming it on superspeedway racing?
That's debatable. It was a miscalculation on Preece & his spotter. It could've happened at any other track, in my opinion. The wreck was a result of pack racing.
Something similar is probably going to happen this week at Dover, or Pocono, on and on. Racing is a dangerous sport, people can die, and they do, the dirt racers have lost at least two this year. That is the reality. That's debatable. It was a miscalculation on Preece & his spotter. It could've happened at any other track, in my opinion.
