I missed the story on that, what happened anyway? To damage the engine I mean.
 
Claims he missed a shift and floated the valves, one [or more?] hit a piston

To expand a bit , he also said that when he popped the transmission out of gear in order to coast into the pits for a plug check , he had inadvertantly put the gear into third instead of neutral. When he let the clutch back out the thing overrevved like crazy and made bad noises.

IDK about that. Wasn't Jr near the top of the speed charts, and qualified top 5? If he did kill it, why go and tell everyone?
