Burton for showing once again his Dr Jeckyl and Mr Hyde impersonations

GORDON, for once again shoving another driver instead of throwing a haymaker at Burton. Grow a pair Jeff!

NASCAR for penalizing a driver for sticking a finger in the air.

I enjoyed the hell outta all of it....my vote would be nascar they were 'Having at it' and the officials stopped it lol. I know i know they were suppose to and all that garbage but it made a boring race entertaining ya gotta give it that.

Nascar, for not pulling Kryle out of the car, dragging him into the infield, and spanking him infront of 100,000 people.:D

I voted for Kyle. His actions cost that team 2 extra laps and left them with no chance of getting back on the lead lap.

Not knowing what was in Burton's head, and giving him a hugh benefit a doubt , I gotta say Kyle. His crew chief even said to quit it . No matter how mad he was at Nascar or the radar gun, he was incurring a penalty for the whole team. In that same vein, someone said "Win As A Team, Lose As A Team "...and you gotta wonder about the 48 decision.

Burton for being a phony. Gordon should have punched him.

Kyle gets a good nod too cause they had a decent car and he coud have gotten back into the race.

Bonehead

Though there were many choices for BOTW but I think I would have to give it to Knaus for switching pit crews. Think that will be a moral killer for that team.

Cost him two spots in the points.

The team can't be happy with that much less money at the end of the year.

Costly and stupid way to have a tantrum.

It's funny how you can publically flip off a cop but you cannot flip off a NASCAR official :D

Aint that sideways finger ...and for the horse you rode in on?.....does it even count?
Nascar has to harden up

I have to go with Kyle on this one. You can't disrespect the officials no matter how wrong you think that they are. He's probably lucky he wasn't parked. In any other major sport, more than likely that would have been the result. I wouldn't be surprised to see further penalties.

No matter the sport you don't agravate/po the officials. Bet shrub knows that today,,,:D It always comes back to bite you. DAMHIKT.:)

Burton and Gordon, still haven't figured out how that happened. Burton is known as a clean racer.

You would want to see that.

Pretty stupid on Kyles part. I'm expecting a large fine being thrown at him and I don't expect the Mars family or Gibbs is too happy with him right now.

Kyle Bush for giving the finger to a Nascar official. What a way to take yourself out of the chase there buddy.

The chase is now down to Hamlin and Johnson. These last two races will be exciting!

Kyle. He's got a ton of talent but he's the biggest idiot to ever race in NASCAR.

I don't think showing your emotion by flipping the official off makes you anymore of an idiot than showing your emotion by getting of your car and heading over to kick another driver's ass does.

Am I missing something? If you are pissed, you are pissed.

Everyone is excited that Gordan went to let Burton know he was pissed but Kyle is not only an idiot, but the biggest idiot in NASCAR for letting the official know he wasn't happy with the call.

Double standard or just hate?

BTW, I did vote for Kyle because the end result caused them to not have the finish they could have.

Kyle is immature, maybe not quite an idiot, but close. Though I gave this vote to Kyle, ESPN and NASCAR are probably more in line for the award. Having been to many races and listened to many different drivers through the years, I've witnessed many more offensive acts than this. However, most of what I witnessed was not witnessed by the television audience. ESPN shouldn't have televised any of this and NASCAR is being held captive by the news media and sponsors. Just imagine what would happen to local racers if a national audience witnessed what happens weekly around the country. Of course, those local drivers don't have to kowtow to the national media or big money sponsors. This kind of action by NASCAR is one of the reasons the sport is waning in the eyes of the fans.

BTW, the first live NASCAR Winston Cup race I witnessed had Texas Terry Labonte using the "F" word many times. New witness, new venue, who knew. :D

Being one of the only other Kyle fans around here I have to disagree with you.

First off there is NO sport in North America that you can get away with abusing an official, physically, verbally or otherwise. That's where he messed up. Most sports, in hockey I know for fact, it's an automatic game misconduct, most likely along with fine and possible further suspension depending on how severe it was. Two laps is fairly light I think.

Kyle should have known better than to do that with the official right in front of him after going on a tirade over the radio about it. I believe it was his comments over the radio along with the double bird that got him in trouble. They might have let one or the other go but doing both just made NASCAR want to make an example out of him in my opinion.

I was actually waiting for the official to flip the bird back at him, that would have been hysterical.

yep, right or wrong showing disrespect to an official is severely punished, as it should be. nascar would lose the respect of drivers and fans alike if getting flipped off was allowed. kyle should have known that. he's a great driver but won't win a championship (in cup) until he can control his temper.

Just wondering, if the 48 pit crew was swapped out because Hendrick Racing felt that they were costing JJ his champion ring, wonder whats going to happen to Little E, Jeff and Martin, along with their crew. Guess they should feel all their heads on the chopping block. Should be a great morale booster.

KABOOM!!!!!

$25,000 fine for gesture. Knew it was coming. Hope it was worth it Kyle.
