NASCAR does little to evoke that kind of faith from me
Something is fishy here for sure and the truth may never be known. If this car is indeed the same car that the 48 ran last year, I find it hard to believe that the tech guys at Nascar missed the C- post when they brought to the R&D center. You would think that car would have been scrutinized up and down and nothing would of been neglected for inspection.
It was the 500 car that got caught. Not the Shootout car. We're talking about NASCAR here. Since the piece hit all the hard points on the template, I can see them missing it. HMS did lose some key engineers last year, and perhaps some of them are alerting NASCAR about any secrets they know and aren't comfortable using themselves with their new team. I find it strange that some guy inspecting the car for a non-points event finds something the tech center missed 3 or 4 times......if you believe Rick.

My mistake. Let me rephrase. I find it strange that some guy inspecting the car at the track finds something the tech center missed 3 or 4 times......if you believe Rick.
