I see Reddick as a favorite because of that. Reddick, Larson, Bell, and Briscoe are my most likely to win this.
More practice for those mentioned before all had a lot of practice laps and showed up on the time sheets in a solid way.
I'll be keeping a close eye on Stenhouse. Second on the board for the best 10 lap run and he can wheel a dirt car. Heat races should be fun today.
Ricky's gonna wheel it around tomorrow, I'am actually excited to most see him race. This is his element, if he stays and keeps it out trouble, he'll be my Credit One Bank One To WatchOh yes, Ricky did not care for the car in the first practice, but it seems like the second they dialed the car in.
I like the fact there were two practice sessions as well, very refreshing to see.
It’s interesting that you said Blaney was the fastest 30 lap average.I see Reddick as a favorite because of that. Reddick, Larson, Bell, and Briscoe are my most likely to win this.

I'm unsure of the amount of tire wear or fall-off, but Blaney was making the middle lanes work as you said. Never know, it might be the ideal lane at some point tomorrow instead of being right next to the wall. It’s interesting that you said Blaney was the fastest 30 lap average.
He was the only one I noticed who worked to find speed in the middle of the track.
Yes, pulling parts I believe for ByronHendrick pulled a backup car out of the NAPA trailer yesterday.
I haven’t heard anything about anyone going to a back up. Possibly to get parts and pieces to fix Larson‘s car after he walled it??
Also, Gilliland looked VERY impressive in the 38.
Yes, they have been setting trucks up on dirt for years and have figured out how to go faster. This is year 1 of this car and race 1 on dirtSo the trucks are faster than the cup cars this weekend?
I'll be watching but I'm ambivalent. In the limited number of heat races I've seen*, they usually finish close to the same order they started, excluding those knocked out in accidents.Heat races should be fun today.
Pretty good, the camera person needs to be fired though

* Two rounds of Trucks at Eldora, Trucks and Cup here last year, and maybe a handful of other series / circuits / surfaces in person.
The damn wheels keep falling off.Fake news!!! This car is not durable!
You ever tried shooting steady while walking backwards? It would have helped if Bozi had stood still.Pretty good, the camera person needs to be fired though

I want to see if lane choice truly has an effect for the truck race.
well duh, you just described the whole thing lol.You ever tried shooting steady while walking backwards? It would have helped if Bozi had stood still.
But yeah, the shots of the cars would have been helped by panning slower.
Hell we won so many damn races when I was doing late models we qualified then they made us draw a pill that has numbers 5-10 that they would invert and we always drew a 10. Imagine that. For me, it all depends on format. I like this format because it is basically a pill draw for starting spots in the heat which mixes it up and puts better cars and drivers throughout the field making it fun to watch them attempt to charge to the front.
In a format where the drivers qualify for a starting spot in the heat, meaning 99% of the time the fast cars/drivers start at the front with the slower cars at the rear, then I agree that that format tends to be follow the leader.
It's a pretty big debate on the dirt side. Some prefer pill draws and some prefer qualifying. Sprint cars tend to have a good compromise in which they will qualify for starting spots in the heats, but will invert the top 4-6, which leads to exciting heat racing. Late models and mods tend to run a more straight up heat race after qualifying.
All of that to say, I'm cautiously optimistic that this format can produce exciting heat races. We are leaving our rental and headed to the track. Hope you all have fun watching wherever you are watching from.
