Bristol Pre Race Thread

The track was awesome, he had a lot of fun and he is on the pole...yet he doesn't think they should be racing on dirt. I would like to hear a reason why.
He thinks the cars are fat and slow ... ill-suited to the task.

More than twice as heavy with half the horsepower of the dirt cars he’s used to.

He would be right about that, but they are so cool to watch sliding 3 wide right next to each other. Every race they learn more and the track has gotten better.

I like watching NASCAR on dirt and I hope this event will remain part of the schedule, if not at Bristol then at another dirt track.
These cars are absolutely not made for this surface which it was makes it fun to watch, much like pre-Next Gen road course racing.

If this race doesn't continue I wouldn't be too surprised if the Bristol Spring race doesn't return at all. I could see the Fairgrounds or Wilkesboro take its place on the schedule.

Lot of guys in the series came up racing on dirt, they should have at least one race on the schedule. I could care less where it is.

It’s simple; these aren’t dirt sprint cars.
If they’re going to promote this dirt gimmick then let them run 410 cars.

I would think these reasons are more applicable to why they should not be running Nascar races at the Indianapolis Power Unit Speedway.

Hams in the oven, Potatoe salad and deviled eggs are done, pies are baked, mashed potatoes and corn are on the stove... so now all that is left to do is eat and watch NASCAR dirt racing at Bristol baby. :punkrocke

It may not be full, but it's a decent crowd considering the day and the capacity. It could be 40,000 and still look empty.

Capacity is currently listed at 153,000.
I thinks local peeps aren’t completely supportive of the dirt experiment.
