Bristol Race thread (Cup)

What is up with Biffle? The last two race he qualified well, ran the first 30 laps or so well and then just starts fading.

DW says the track is "fluffy"...I suppose he means it's cat-like.

(my Mom's cat was named Fluffy) ;)

Fluffy like a pillow which is sounding pretty good right now.

LOL - hang in there...it should start to get interesting before long. (fingers crossed)

P.S. - maybe the Daytona team racing wasn't so bad after all...oh well, I had time to get in my wheat crop during the middle of the race (farmville)

To Boywers spotter you were not "good"

Went outside and did some yard work for 150 laps, race was a yawner, best part now last 50 laps.

Yes DW, place your TV on an angle, that'll give you a great idea of what its like.:sarcasm:

DW would like us to tilt our TV's on a 33 degree angle to get the idea of Bristol banking...I can only assume that he hasn't heard of the in-car camera yet.

Yeah...when he said that I thought "man that would take a lot of effort and I might break something"...then I just tilted my head 33 degrees to the right and got the same effect

Joey's problem was a broken wheel.Well DUH that usually happens when you hit the wall.

Well at least Kyle used a regular old school straw broom (in Victory lane). I would have guessed they would give him a plastic angle broom with a sponsor's decal on it.

Menard continues to impress, best RCR car today with 5th place. The world must be ending soon.

WOW - I can't believe they made Bristol boring too

Hasn't been the same since they repaved it.

I am glad that I was able to go to a few races there around 2000 and 2001. It was still exciting then and at its peak.

I don't know about the rest of you, but that was a ho hum race, not even an exciting finish.

Didn't you spend most of it outside, so how can you judge what you didn't see?

Yeah - thank heavens for Talladega. Easy trip from Atlanta, free camping in the "Sodom and Gomorrah" campground. $250 dollar weekend (incuding the dirt track race across the street). :punkrocke

He a real contender now and I'm really happy for him :beerbang:

speshly since everyone daid he wouldnt be racin if it weren't for daddy

Bristol hasn't been the same since they tore out the concrete bleachers. Dang I loved those things. :sarcasm:

I completely enjoyed the race today. I hesitated to step away from the TV a few times but I have a project in the shop I am trying to finish up.
