now I have to disagree, Jr. never led a lap and struggled to get up there and when he was close to the top he got shufffled back, he had no help and if he did get up front he would'nt of stayed there long, he said himself that he had a strong car but did'nt know if was good enough to stay up front.

i dunno man he was comin on strong at the end.....i mean that car was on a rail

If you can't pass without help and you have no help, you ain't gonna win!!

Hey, I'm about as big a Jr fan as there is (just a carry over from all those years of rooting for his father), but I can see where the best car, driver and team won tonight. And so did Jr. :D

Just wait till a week from tomorrow...........Jr's 500 car is supposed to be better!! But then again, he's gonna have to do all by hisself.......ain't no one gonna help!! It'll be a good one!!

now who in here called skinner a darkhorse for the win?
Man Skinner had a slow car and when he took 2 tires on that first pitstop he was holding people up.

Well, I was encouraged to see Martin pretty much run with Jr. all night. Maybe not the best indicator but still good to see. This could well be the year Martin or Wallace get their first Daytona 500 win! Either of these guys deserve it.

haha ok wrangler i'll go with ya on that one.....the 500 should be a good race....but im more of drag racer than anything so if i say somethin completly off the wall dont worry bout it hahaha

jr. will have help, mickey and john and john was up there on the speed charts too. But I do admit that I think the compitition has caught up to DEI.

Looked like the 6 pushed jr to the front the last 2 laps. What's up with nascar, do they have something about jacking with Martin or what ?? I think they pull out different tools to measure his car or something sometimes. :dual9mm: :cuckoo:

Dude! This is just to cool man!

Congrats to DJ. Let's let the blue oval gang enjoy their win. After all, it's not a points race. When the real racing starts, the bow tie guys will be the first to the checkers. :p ;)

 Man it was a compliment!

Good day of racing thats for sure. But I dont see how alot of you can say that the man with the best car won todays race. I was never won to say that dj was washed up and I dont think he is now but this means nothing about the season, he won a race last year too dont forget.

Also same for ford, dont see how this means much, I think ford led 1 lap during the race. Im not trying to bring down tonites victores at all just saying I hear this year after year, a driver wins or gets a couple top 5s in the beggining and everyone is getting excited over nothing.

Congrats DJ, great guy hopefully this good luck will continue.
