Charlotte Pre-race Race Thread

Monaco for breakfast, the 500 for lunch, and the 600 for dinner.
For me out here on the west coast, it will be, the 500 for breakfast and lunch, the 600 for dinner, and the 500 again for a midnight snack.:)

:salute: I know this is a racing forum, but lest not forget what this weekend is really about. Let all say a big THANK YOU to all who served. Let us not forget all of our service people who gave their all for our country. Just remember "All gave some, Some gave all" Thanks go to all our vets.

And while we're at it, let's try to avoid all of the Memorial Day sales that numerous retail establishments have going on this weekend.

Personally, I find it hard to imagine anything more disrespectful than big business trying to capitalize on those whose made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

Sounds like a great topic for The Podium.

The big question is, how many of those JGR engines will survive 600 miles?

Don't think that I didn't consider that when making fantasy league picks and will consider it again when chosing starters.

It's just my opinion, of course, and if I thought that there was anyone who seriously disagreed with me I'd take it to the Podium but . . . . . really ?

I suppose the "Random" thread might have been a better place to go with it.

Surprising stat I just saw during practice: David Reutimann has the best Coke 600 average finish among active drivers (6.25).

Just keep in mind these are the same statisticians that had trouble figuring out Jimmie Johnson's average finish over a handful of segments on the same evening last Saturday night. I'm just sayin.
