Quick, someone get her a box to stand on!

I think I see why she has been struggling so much. She probably can't see over the steering wheel. Maybe a couple of phone books in the seat or a smaller steering wheel and she would be unstoppable.

The haters would have you believe she doesn't know how to race, but the likes of Martinsville, Kansas (2013), Phoenix and Bristol (fall 2012) suggest otherwise. Patrick just needs to do that more often.

Though a better grounding in stock car style racing prior to Cup would have been better. Consider how many more ARCA and NNS starts Ricky Stenhouse Jr has. Despite his success in those categories, he's been trolling around in the Cup midfield with one or two exceptions.

I hope you didn't think I was serious!

I'm aware you were joking. :) Can't I quote you if I'm commenting on the same driver you posted about?
Sure, but I just didn't want you to think I was bashing her. I just couldn't resist having a little fun with that pic.:)

What's he do with the red shoes afterwards? :idunno:

I have done a lot of field painting myself so I will tell you he saves them, cleans them up a bit and the next color he paints will also be the color of his shoes. LOL
White being the most popular color .

Jeff Gordon and a lot of F1 drivers are short as well. Speaking of JG, he's having a fairly mediocre season so far. Paul Menard is ahead of him in the points o_O
Andy is this your new screen name??

Welcome to the forum Debris , glad to have you aboard . A word of advice though , we don't like facts too much around here , spread a little prejudice around and you will be fine.:D

Could someone enlighten me on why this race is on Sunday at night? That's not normal...

Thanks. I'm beginning to think racing fans have more of an unhealthy obsession with Danica Patrick than the media does, judging by the comments on Indycar stories (that are about James Hinchcliffe). They wouldn't be able to tell you that Patrick started her high-level racing career in ALMS (2003) holding up pretty well against veterans like Ron Fellows, and that her early sponsors were Argent and Motorola. Still, I don't think there's any point going on about it - Paul Menard doesn't get this much controversy and he's got a fair bit in common with "the princess".

Nope, it's normal. It's been run on the same day as the Indy 500 since 1974. Starting in 1992, after installing lights, the race moved to later in the day to where it eventually finishes up as a night race. It was a move that they said would give fans relief from the heat and humidity. Whatever the reason, I do like how the races changes over the afternoon/evening. It's tough for someone to be dominate throughout. Not impossible though. Just ask Jimmie Johnson.

Oh Oh , winning Indy didn't do Paul any good here either .(Too much family money , don't ya know ) Now if you could make a case for an underdog like Timmy Hill or Johannah Long .....

I meant things like pay-driver with some skill but only 1 fuel mileage win in a top tier series, usually middling in most races. Though in Menard's case the money was straight from his father, as you mentioned.

Can't really comment on Long or Hill, haven't seen them on track enough and they're not expected to do much in third-tier teams.

So Larry Mac says that drivers only ride around during the pace laps. Not 15 minutes after DW says the way to win is to ride around and wait till it's time to go.

Crap, it looks like they are going to have to change Danicas engine.

Oh, okay, that makes sense. Thanks!

Assuming Rusty doesn't buy a spot from one of the back markers.
Oh snap...here's to hoping that doesnt happen...
If if it doesnt, though, my comment is invalid -- JWT is also in the field. Forgot bout that :/
Oh, and on a happier note, Michael Annett is back!
