Chev SS discontinued?

Yep, while I do think the Lumina/Grand Prix/Cutlass/Regal looked great as a race car, GM was the first to go to a FWD V6 platform while Ford rode it out with the Thunderbird for another half decade. I'll absolutely give Ford credit for that.

However, I think the move from the T-Bird to that fugly jelly bean Taurus sedan might be the worst downgrade in racing history.

Oh and meant to ask, you thought the Lumina was a good looking race car? Super ugly in all forms to me. The Cutlass and T Birds were my favs at that time. Cutlass was an awesome car in coup model. Really distinctive.
 
Gotta love those El Caminos and Rancheros. None of the passenger room of a car and none of the capabilities of a pickup.

It's cool af though. I've seen some El Camino's do amazing things acting as work trucks fwiw.
