Chili Bowl Nationals 2022

The last seven editions of this race have been won by drivers who currently or formerly drove in one of NASCAR’s top-three divisions, including the reigning 2021 Cup champion.
Rico Abreu, who ran full-time in Camping World Truck Series won the event in 2015/2016, Christopher Bell three consecutive races from 2017 through 2019, while Kyle Larson is the two-time defending champion of the event.

The first night, January 10th, Bowman will be racing. So will Elliott and Briscoe in the Nascar ranks. David Gravel, second place in the World of Outlaws, races Monday. Top two transfer to the A main Saturday night. The rest go into the alphabet soup...From N main - B main

Last year Saturday night switched from Flo to MAVTV. I’m pretty sure they said that wouldn’t be happening this time.

I have bad news for you. I'm fairly certain that MAVTV still holds the rights to the Saturday night portion. FloRacing would love to have them, but the MAVTV contract runs for several more years, and predates their involvement.

Until last year, RacinBoys.com charged roughly the equivalent of the nightly ticket price to stream each prelim night. So the situation has improved for the home viewer.

100 bucks for MAV is the ransom. I believe it is to see the C, B, and A main.

For the 2022 edition, the Chili Bowl looked through the field and decided on three additional champions from the Lucas Oil Late Models, NASCAR Cup Series, and the Lucas Oil Chili Bowl Nationals. Those are Tim McCreadie, Chase Elliott, and Sammy Swindell. ;)
 
Far and wide of Nascar drivers in the Chili Bowl. I'm interested to see how Hocevar is going to do. I know very little about him, but he made a big splash in the trucks last year. Maybe he was raised on dirt.

2020 Cup Champ with his dirt track driver coaches ...

The 2021 Cup Champion and the 2021 World of Outlaws (third consecutive) Champion. Kind of like being accepted as a student at Harvard. 😇
