College Basketball 24-25

We just can't have good things, it's like people don't get the fun of upsets. Having gone to a mid major school do you know how crazy I was following the CBI one year because we went on a run in it. Stop ruining sports for money.
High majors were mostly turning down the NIT recently anyways to get a jump on coaching searches or the transfer portal. I think the NIT still has a really solid and intriguing field of mid-majors at least, while a third of ‘The Crown’ is made up of bad high major teams with losing records. I know which I’d rather watch. I do agree with the general sentiment that there’s too much money in college sports as it is now.

I legitimately haven't watched the NIT in like 10 years
Moving the finals from MSG has hurt it a bit; although Hinkle is a great venue itself, the one random year in Vegas was another nail in the coffin. The transfer portal has also kinda killed it as far as being a springboard for a team to carry momentum in the next season. Teams will simply opt out for that reason alone.

Still a fun tourney and great consolation games for those involved, and that’s from a fan who got to experience it last year.

Heard a guy on the radio suggesting Purdue’s Braden Smith should shop himself to IU which has way more NIL money than Purdue. He could demand seven figures. And he has no chance of making the NBA.

I will respect him if he doesn’t but understand if he does.
