College Football 2024

Highly disappointing season from Ole Miss. Pretty much in must-win mode for the rest of the year now.

Alabama I can get behind since they at least have the big win over Georgia, which is one of the best wins anyone has. We already knew Ole Miss wasn’t special when they lost to Kentucky at home, so LSU’s win over them isn’t super impressive. They also really should’ve lost to South Carolina without the super ref show.

BYU probably has a more impressive résumé than both LSU and Iowa State though. Should easily be a top 10 team right now. The good thing is that they’re on a collision course with Iowa State in the Big XII CG and at least one of them will likely get in via that bid. Plus, these aren’t the rankings that mean anything either.
 
it's unreal how far Florida State has fallen from last year, almost can't even believe it's the same school and head coach.

1st FBS team with 3 consecutive turnovers on 3 consecutive plays in tonight's game to move to a 1-6 record on the season.
 
Duke beats FSU for the first time ever, in their 23rd try. Rock bottom for G5 Mike and the ‘Noles.
 
Early window observations…Indiana looks like a legitimate playoff team. Brent Venables is bordering upon bust territory at OU. And Miami and Clemson appear to be on a collision course for the ACC Championship Game.
 
Mizzou is the college football version of the Minnesota Vikings of yesteryear escaping another close one at home, tough one to take if you're Auburn you had 2 weeks to prepare for Mizzou their starting QB doesn't play most of the game and you get gifted a fumbled punt for a 2 td cushion, yikes.

Deion and co. actually upgraded their OL and defense quite nicely over the offseason. Coaching staff is improved in spots too. They should make a bowl now, and are solidly in Big XII contention too. Fun team to watch with that star power.
 
Gotta pick up that block…they get the first down and much more if you clear out that one defender.
 
Will be interesting to see how patient Bama fans are with DeBoer. If they lose @ LSU in a few weeks things might start to get interesting. Gonna be a lot of fans figuring out what losing three or more regular season games is actually like.

Still think they make the CFP at 9-3 though. The Georgia win will carry a lot of weight.
 
Hopefully the Dawgs can win, it will be a tough game in Fort Worth tonight.
 
Georgia needs this one a little bit more, and so far they’re playing like it. The defense is really impressive so far. I’m not sure Texas are even averaging a yard per play right now.
 
Manning provided some nice spark over Ewers, but Texas’s OL just has no answer for Georgia’s pressure. If there’s any consolation for the Horns right now it’s that it’s not 42-0 like it easily could’ve been.
