Yeah but it was back in January.Jeffy has been running so well this year that I wouldn't even consider your prediction to be a bold one anymore.
Not only that, but it was also the 20th anniversary of his first Cup win.Congrats to Jeff and his legion of fans on this forum. I give the guy crap on here sometimes, but I respect his accomplishments.
I wonder if it made it the win any sweeter considering the race was sponsored by 5-Hour Energy and run in Clint Bowyer's backyard?
Creepy stuff there. Not only that, but it was also the 20th anniversary of his first Cup win.
His first win was on May 29, 1994, so not the exact anniversary but close enough. Not only that, but it was also the 20th anniversary of his first Cup win.
If it was that far away, I wonder why fox decided to cover it so much? You'd think they'd cover it for the all star race. Hell, it's even at the same trackHis first win was on May 29, 1994, so not the exact anniversary but close enough.
Yeah, giving it more coverage at Charlotte would have made more sense. Maybe they're planning on doing that too.If it was that far away, I wonder why fox decided to cover it so much? You'd think they'd cover it for the all star race. Hell, it's even at the same track
EVERY WEEKYeah, giving it more coverage at Charlotte would have made more sense. Maybe they're planning on doing that too.
He wins the all star race and the coke 600. It'll drive some folks nuts.My money's on old Gordy to win at Charlotte again to celebrate his 20th anniversary of his first win.
He has a knack for winning special occasions like this. Back in 2012 he won at Homestead with Dupont as his Sponsor for 20 years too. with paint scheme and all.
That was also the race he was "supposed" to be parked for destroying Bowyer. He has a knack for winning special occasions like this. Back in 2012 he won at Homestead with Dupont as his Sponsor for 20 years too. with paint scheme and all.
This is enough to get even an old Jeff Gordon fan who doesn't watch much NASCAR any more to tune in again. I'm not crazy about what they've done to the sport, but when Jeff is in first place and winning, it's a lot easier to take it all.
Yeah, I'll think about it. I was kind of hoping to find a thread about Danica finishing in the top 10 last week, 7th I think it was. I didn't know if that her highest finish or when she last finished in the top ten. I kind of like her and root for her. I'll admit that it's mostly because I find her incredible hot, but I also think her success is good for the sport just as her presence has been. It draws fans and those fans buy merchandise and increase ratings. A rising tide floats all boats. Finally got you out of the cellar. Welcome back up. Stay a while Bene.
He spent much of his time in his hauler before & after races. After he got it on with Brooke, he broke ties with his family. This was tough because john bickford, his stepfather and only coach, was the man who sat him down in a quarter midget for the first time. While Gordon dealt with family struggles, uncontrollable influxes of fame and money, his image outside the track was tarnished by Earnhardt and his fans. It was really Earnhardt's fans who fueled the gay punches at Gordon with shirts, signs & other props. The only way to keep away from it was to seek shelter in his hauler. Then of course Brooke & Gordon divorced due to a supposed affair Gordon was having with a model. Later at, Sonoma I believe it was, he announced his engagement to Ingrid and he won the race. He really only began to mingle with other drivers in the pre-race festivities after Ingrid stepped into his life. He's not the kind of man to have his dirty laundry & personal life aired through national media. It hit him hard but he overcame it all by beating everyone on the trackeven though i'm no way a gordon fan, i do like him, he changed the sport imo, but as long as i have followed nascar, i have never seen the kind of treatment that gordon has received. gay gordon was everywhere, even dale sr asked him about it. i was tired of seeing it, can't imagine how he felt. i also think he is the best driver ever.
