he's pretty much got winning mastered period.Jimmie had the old one mastered.
He cant let the fans know his plans.I guess that's a possibility. If so, changing the Chase format was a bad move. Jimmie had the old one mastered.
:-/He also has 60 wins. 30 more & he's at 90. Can he do it?
Just speculation... he's won 60 races in half the time:-/
Seriously? Jimmie ain't no Jeff Gordon
And winning at a lesser rate now than ever in his career.Just speculation... he's won 60 races in half the time
Agreed. He's 38. 39 in September. He's winning faster than Jeff was at that age but time is friendly to no man. Plus, I do not think JJ is going to race in sprint cup passed his prime. He has expressed interest in racing prototypes. And winning at a lesser rate now than ever in his career.
Yes.He also has 60 wins. 30 more & he's at 90. Can he do it?
And...serious, fresh talent is emerging in the form of Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott.Agreed. He's 38. 39 in September. He's winning faster than Jeff was at that age but time is friendly to no man.
No. Jimmie will not win 30 more races in his career.Yes.
I dont know which one to pull forAnd...serious, fresh talent is emerging in the form of Kyle Larson and Chase Elliott.
He will.No. Jimmie will not win 30 more races in his career.
****, just be happy that you're a fan when this type of talent came into the sport (unlike when you were still soiling your drawers when Jeffy started )I dont know which one to pull for
No.He will.
Hmm, I thought a few posts up it was about Jimmie getting to 90. That's only 22 away so it's certainly possible. I'm not sure about 98.
I do not think Jimmie is in Jeff's league as a driver. The only thing that would prove that for me would be a Jimmie/Chad split. Jeff has adjusted without Ray, I do not believe Jimmie would win without Chad. It's JMO, but to me, that's all that matters.Hmm, I thought a few posts up it was about Jimmie getting to 90. I wish we could find out, they have to be way up there in terms of longest-tenured driver/crew chief pairings. A whole lot of continuity and chemistry.I do not think Jimmie is in Jeff's league as a driver. The only thing that would prove that for me would be a Jimmie/Chad split. Records are goals for others to surpass. Someone will get 8 Championships, someone will later get 9. That's just the way it goes.I agree. I just think Jimmie would fold without Chad and Jeff's crew.
JJ showing the competition that the 48 is still the team to beat. What a car he had today, amazing.
What is most amazing to me is that JJ had been suffering the same issues that other drivers who drive loose cars had with the new ride height rules. Not only did Chad and the boys find a set up that works for Jimmie, but I suspect that Jimmie has figured out how to drive the new package. The guy is amazing. We might be watching the best ever. Simply stunning.
BREAKING: Jimmie Johnson's car has failed post race inspection........nah I'm kidding, but I had you going there for a second.
There was a sound bite on the 48 radio with Chad saying to JJ "I told you, you were going to love this car"...looks like HMS is bringing out some really dailed in race cars. Penske and JGR had better take notice, the bar has just been raised a notch IMO.
Chad won't move on til him and Johnson gets 8 championships. Then he'll probably move higher-up in the Hendrick corporate ladder. Hel, to be the Crew Chief that got 8 Championship, that man could write his own tickets.
He can write his own ticket with 6 championships.Chad won't move on til him and Johnson gets 8 championships. Then he'll probably move higher-up in the Hendrick corporate ladder. Hel, to be the Crew Chief that got 8 Championship, that man could write his own tickets.
If Mr. H. had any balls, Chad would partner with Junior next year. At that point, we would learn: A) Is this a Jimmie and Chad thing or not, and How good is Junior. Won't happen, but damn would answer a lot of questions IMO.
Except Chad had all of speedweeks and more to make that car ready for the 500. Plus, it was Darian Grubb Guy is awesome. Jimmie is a great driver & Chad is a genius and their chemistry together is remarkable. Jimmie is the one on the track passing cars & making moves so I think he'll do just fine without Chad.Am I the only one who remembers Johnson winning a race without Chad? Hmmmm what was that race? Oh what was it? Was it....THE MOTHER ******* DAYONTA 500!? I'm pretty sure Mr. Johnson has talent behind the wheel.
