I really don’t understand some of the race ratings. That race had literally everything you want; low grip, tons of HP, comers and goers, long green flag runs, battle for the lead literally the entire time, and a final 30 laps that were basically decided by .5 seconds.

The 5 wasn't a winning car today, other than probably lap 15-30. At times, particularly the last 3rd of a run, was the worst car. I don't totally buy the "redemption" and comeback stuff. He made an ignorant mistake, and should consider himself lucky, blessed, and loved to be in this circumstance. I don't think Kyle would want to call this "redemption" or inspirational".

But he was the best this year, in the best car and took advantage of an incredibly supported opportunity he was given.

This may have been the first time all 4 cars showed race winning potential.

But the pit crew wins this title. Larson doesn't win this race without restarting with the the lead.
 
That’s kind of a news nugget Larson was at HMS watching this race last year. I kind of think even if things didn’t go down like they did last year he’d still end up at HMS and woulda left Chip anyways
 
So does Rick Allen ACTUALLY have the conversations with drivers and team owners that he says he has? Lol
 
Time for my end of the season break from here . I’m going to miss NASCAR, it’s literally my favorite thing to watch on Sundays. I didn’t watch a minute of NFL action today. This was appointment TV for me today. I enjoyed interacting with everyone well mostly everyone through the season and at times this place is pretty fun. I’ll probably pop in a few times over the off season, I had fun this season. I’m bummed I didn’t attend a race, but overall this season was extremely fun. Next season is the great unknown
 
So not only is HMS the only organization in the field that has two active champions that have won titles FOR said organization, but they're the only organization to have two champions under 30 years of age.

Pretty wild.

Larson also tied Stewart's 5 race wins post season record.

It's from people who don't like racing as much as they like their own opinions about racing.
 
Sucks that the season is over but I’m so excited for next season and the new car, new teams and new places for drivers. Got 4 or so more weeks of F1 before a nice month and half break till the 24 Hours.

Hard to believe this is the end of my 8th season being on this forum. Times flies when you are having fun

Some base their rating on the TV broadcast, or only on who won, or the package used regardless of the racing. Beats me.
 
All year that David Smith that does the analytics on speed and restarts and all that said Hendrick has no chance at Phoenix and Larson’s wins were for nothing and Larson is “confounded” by flat shorter ovals. I wonder how that crow tastes!!!
