Cup race at Atlanta

Well they didn't waste there sweet time did they :beerbang:

Can't wait to see this race but I'm taking a guess the pick em game won't count now so Brad will win and lead the most laps or something :( and I won't get all my points.

I don't get that. Why don't the points count? Why would it matter when they run it if the picks have already been made?

I don't know but when the road course race got pushed back I know Spike said something like the points wouldn't count. I hope they do thought.

I don't want to see a rain shorted race :(

It would be another first time winner but I want to see a first time winner in a race not a shorted one from rain. That's the thing this year the first time winners have all been a full race and have raced for the win. Yes some have been from fuel but they did have to do more then just stay out for the win.

I'd be very surprised if Nascar called this race with Yeley leading.

I'm all for a first time winner, but JJ Yeley? I mean I do really like the guy, but that there would be like train robbery!

If he won it from racing like the others have done this year I'd be all for it no matter how there career have been. Some people here even hated Paul's win but too me that was a deserved win not just cause he's had some decent finishes since coming to RCR but because he had to race for it at the end. I just don't want to see a first time winner cause of rain.

They sure do show that Nationwide Insurance commercial enough

I'd kinda disagree with that. Menard's win was deserved, I mean he has had a number of good runs this year and was actually running up fornt the whole race. JJ, on the other hand has either been S&P or running in the high-30s all year long, and obviously benefited today from heppening to be the last one to pit.

Like I said, I like JJ, but this would be something else altogether.

I think that's exactly what Blaze was saying

That's what I was thinking. I don't wanna see JJ just luck into a win I don't really like when that happens. If he won from racing and not just from how he's pitted and what not that be good.

But it seems they are going back racing which is great!

OK, I misunderstood whatya said then.

No problem man I was thinking you did when I saw that. I mean heck I'd really not even want too see Jr get a rain win honestly, yeah a win is a win and I'd be happy Jr got the win but I'd rather him win it from racing or something even a fuel win would be better then rain.

So at this point who does everyone see winning this race?

I don't know about those eye glasses that Blickensderfer was sporting

Well, here we go trying it again. I have to wonder, if it keeps raining off and on will Nascar call it or keep starting and stopping?

i'm shocked that out of 43 race teams, yeley and cassill were the two that took a shot. let it rain!!!!

I think Nascar knew they wouldn't even be able to go back racing there, they just didn't wanna see JJ win. Landon even tried to say it was still raining so I don't see it as anything else.

IMO, that's exactly what took place.

Not that they want Kenseth to win but it's better then Yeley, I suppose.

I got a feeling they want to tighten the chase up when it starts what better way then to maybe have someone have a chance to add one extra win there to make it tighter once it does start. If Matt wins that's three wins for him this year and would put him two points behind Kyle with how things are now.
